Hey everyone! First time poster here. I was curious if anyone has an isolated version of the opening synth for Politik. You can hear it for the first minute of the track on the Live 2003 album. It seems that it was also used widely as the last track that would play before concerts started in the AROBTTH tour. If no one has it, would anyone happen to know what synth was used to create that intro back then? I'd imagine it's something Chris created, so perhaps it was a commonly used piece of equipment for them back then? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi guys, This evening SkyArts will broadcast a Coldplay concert from 2006. Only in the UK. Is there anyone, who can record it and upload it here? (If it's ok with our rules, obviously! ;^) ) Thanks in advance...

Originally posted at my blog... http://wirez.wxcs.com Here is my full Coldplay show story... I actually have pictures, videos, and the COMPLETE Coldplay show in mp3 format... I will put a torrent up later. Thanks for reading! First let me say, the KCRW Coldplay concert was AWESOME. Rob ended up buying my ticket off of me instead of me taking Yadira. We leave Bakersfield around 5pm and hardly encounter any traffic on the way instead of the casual LA type. We got to Universal City, we walked around for a little observing but I needed to go back to the car for my jacket. When we went back, we decided to drink and luckily I had some vodka in my trunk. We each took about 4…

Hi guys, I am building a little coldplay memorabilia wall in my new house. Does anyone have a tour poster or advert from the Earl's court gig in 2003? Failing that, a high Res photo from outside the venue? Thanks so much

Well where to begin? It all happened last night - despite not being well in the morning, after resting out i pulled myself together and headed into London. After meeting up with my friend at Waterloo and then a slightly confused tube ride across to East London and a much needed Pizza since I had not eaten properly all day (MMMmmmmm Pizza), we finally arrived near the Royal Albert Hall. After walking along Hyde park (a beautiful place at night with the lit statues), we finally came up to the Hall, which if you know it at all is quite a building! Since I had never been to the Royal Albert Hall before, lets just say my jaw dropped when we got inside - the place is HUGE…

Kids... you wouldn't believe where I have been tonight... but before I tell you my story... let me just say... it was single handedly probably one of the most envigorating moments of my life... and I cried upon recieving such news.. well not really.. but there was tears. :) ~At approximately 415pm EST I received a pm here via the board.. asking me to e-mail 'someone who shall remain nameless'... so I proceed to do so from my work e-mail. Mind you, at this time I am at work.. crunch time mind you.. and I really shouldnt be leaving early on a day like today... but I DO!!! here's why... so I e-mailed.. and the recipient proceeds to tell me.. I AM GOING TO THE STOR…

I just found this website, so I wanted to share my stories from Boston in May 2005. I saw Coldplay at a small buzz show (a club with about 1,000 people). They were amazing and I can't believe they would even play such a small venue!! Even though the new songs were unknown at that point (aside from Speed of Sound and Fix You), they were incredible live and the crowd were into it. As mentioned on the Colplayer on their website, they had some sound techincal difficulties. At some points the band seemed really nervous. When they were trying to fix their ear pieces, Chris joked to the audience about Jon's good looks and said "frankly he is a f'ing sex God." Jon got a…

Has anyone else spotted Chris' comment at the end of the live Coachella recording after the brilliant track 'Fix You' (that's bound to be a single - gotta be one of the most immediate tracks on the album IMO) Chris says... "Be positive about the world, there's only three more years to go" Has anyone got any thoughts on what he might be getting at...?!?

In a word, amazing. In two, f*cking amazing. Coldplay headlined the event, and they didn't disappoint. I stood for 9 hours in the same area being squished by crazy fans waiting for coldplay. I saw some pretty cool acts pre-coldplay (Snow Patrol, Keane, Weezer, although I had to skip out on Bloc Party unfortunately). Then when Coldplay came on, things just went ridiculous. Opened with Square One, played some classics such as Yellow (I *think* that was the only Parachutes song, correct me if I'm wrong), as well as several ROBTTH songs and X&Y songs. NEW SONGS: not sure if they've actually played these before, but they played Low, Til Kingdom Come, Fix You, and other s…

Coldplay will be playing their 3rd secret gig this year in the Netherlands tomorrow night... probably in Amsterdam. I'm on the guestlist (along with 200-300 fellow fans), so I'm there! Stay tuned for more in this topic. Who else is going?

Did anyone go? I found this review from a Scotish newspaper: While cult New York quartet The Rapture played to a small but enthusiastic core audience, the masses were drinking the anthems of Coldplay. They drifted through a mellow set of piano ballads with only the occasional stand-out track - the beguiling Don’t Panic knocked spots of new songs such as the bland In Your Place and the sub-U2 strains of Clocks. The special guest, Ian McCulloch, joined the band for an encore of his band’s Echo and the Bunnymen’s old track Lips Like Sugar but, on balance, it was probably too downbeat a finale to a major festival. But the fireworks made up for it. Seems kinda harsh!…

Hi peeps! Well what a fantastic day! Great atmosphere, good, great and amazing music, fantastic weather, oh yeah and there were Coldplay :) So for the set, well unknowing what was and what was not shown on TV, the highlights were most of the regular tour set: The Scientist Yellow Everything's Not Lost God Put A Smile In My Place... CLOCKS - very very well received and an amazing sight with their uber-green-laser streaming over the croud :D The less known tracks included were (drum roll...) Your World Turns Upside Down (an EXCELLENT performance - they really have this one nailed now and it's a great, great song - the only thing i'm not sure of is i…
