GREAT MOVIE!!! action, romance, BLOOD!

can't wait to see the sequel once upon a time in mexico with.....JOHNNY DEPP! :wink3:

Hi!

The name of the movie is "desperado" , by the way, the correct word is "desesperado" . Which means = desperated

Have you ever seen any movie which is a real "mexican" movie?

As a Mexican I believe that movie is contemptible. Of course it was directed by a mexican-american who knows nothing about Mexico.

I just don't like how that kind of movies present Mexican culture, which is far from reality.

But , how am I complainting about a really commercial movie, with a really bad actress(Salma Hayek).

This is how I felt ...

... and then the movie blew chunks! Great premise, but horrible execution! The movie was so back it threatens to ruin the first!

Desperado didn't try to depict Mexican culture any more than a movie like "The Fast and the Furious" or "Open Range" or any John Wayne movie tries to depict American culture. It's meant to be a sensationalized view of a time and a place and requires you to depart of reality. I don't think anybody walking Desparado was sitting there thinking "Wow. Mexico is a really harsh place."

i don't like desperado neither Salma Hayek eeccs definetly i'm not gonna see once upon a time arrrggh

Of course there are people that think that about Mexico. There are actually people in the world that think streets in the united States have golden light posts. Neither has much to do with movies about the countries or cultures.
