A man has phoned 911 so that he could get a lift to a bar.

Gregory J. Oras, who lives in Florida, called the emergency line three times before he was arrested, The AP says.

During the phone calls he claimed that he had a broken nose and bleeding ears, adding that people were shooting at him.

However, authorities have revealed that the 37-year-old was actually looking for a ride to a local bar. A Taser was later used against him when he kicked a police officer in the knees.

Oras is now facing charges of misusing the 911 system and battery of a law enforcement officer.
