October 2, 201015 yr Hey A brazilian thread here  It's a important moment for brazilians 9 candidates, but tv only shows 4 (or 2) generaly..
October 2, 201015 yr Author 9 candidates, but tv only shows 4 (or 2) generaly.. There are only two candidates with real chance of winning: Dilma and Serra. The public debates don't have to include candidates with less than 1% in the official polls, which leaves us four candidates: Dilma, Serra, Marina and Plínio. PS: I was taking a look, and realized we don't have a single right-winged party represented in the presidential election. The closest we have from that is PSDC, which is a centrist party. The closest from that with a real chance of winning is PSDB, which is a centre-left party.
October 2, 201015 yr a lot of candidates there. normally when you go on elections all those fall in the same date? (governor of its state, senator, federal deputy and state deputy) or is just this time?
October 2, 201015 yr Author normally when you go on elections all those fall in the same date? (governor of its state, senator, federal deputy and state deputy) or is just this time? It all happens the same day. The second round (only possible for president and governor), in case no candidate manages to get the absolute majority (more than half of the valid votes), is going to happen on October 31th.
October 2, 201015 yr ahh interesting i didn't knew that. do you have different parties for the other administration (governor of its state, senator, federal deputy and state deputy) or are the same parties as president elections?
October 2, 201015 yr Author do you have different parties for the other administration (governor of its state, senator, federal deputy and state deputy) or are the same parties as president elections? They don't have to be from the same party. That's very good, it assures whoever is in administration gets fiscalized.
October 2, 201015 yr you mean a govern can be formed with different parties? (estou a falar se vocês tem listas abertas, e se os partidos presentan-se as mesmas categorias (estado, senado...). aquim há partidos que só presentam-se num territorio mas podem formar parte dos diputados nacionais, isto há pessoal que nao o considera justo. (sorry for the part in portuguese, i don't know how to say it i english now).
October 3, 201015 yr I voted today for the first time, woot!! I think we'll have a second round for president.
October 3, 201015 yr Author The election ended at 5PM, on most states. The vote counting has already started. Check it in real time!
October 3, 201015 yr Author With 99.99% of the votes counted, Dilma leads with 46.90%, Serra comes next with 32.61%, then comes Marina with 19.33%. Plínio scores 0.87% of the votes, and the rest scores 0.28%. 5h 55min 45s AM (04/10/2010)
October 31, 201015 yr Author Today's the second round of the Brazilian Election 2010. Eight states plus the Federal District will choose their governors today. The president will also be chosen today. The candidates are: Dilma Rousseff (PT) [Workers' Party] José Serra (PSDB) [brazilian Social Democratic Party]
October 31, 201015 yr Author With 96.47% of the votes counted, Dilma leads with 55.72%, and Serra has 44.28% of the valid votes. 20h 28min 30s PM (31/10/2010) An exit poll made by IBOPE and revealed by Folha de São Paulo shows Dilma with 57% and Serra with 43% of the valid votes.
October 31, 201015 yr Author they count quick there. That's because we use eletronic voting machines.
October 31, 201015 yr i know that, same here. on the tv reports about the elections here, said seem Dilma will win, same as the poll you said.
October 31, 201015 yr Author From now on, there's no mathematical possibility of a turnover. So, it's possible to say that Dilma Rousseff is going to be the president of Brazil from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, the Workers' Party will complete 12 years in our presidente. That's not good.
November 9, 201015 yr Author you dislike the results? why? you have national elections each 4 years, right? First, I don't like Dilma. I don't think she's ready for it, since she never got elected for anything before. I also dislike the Workers' Party, it's full of corrupted people. Yeah, we have national elections each 4 years, but even when chosen by the people, the same party and the same ideas ruling a country for 12 years in a row is definitely not good.
November 14, 201015 yr what do you think that makes them win election after election? there must be something they do or promise that other parties don't.
November 15, 201015 yr Author what do you think that makes them win election after election? Their marketing staff is the best in this country. there must be something they do or promise that other parties don't. They lie. They lie about other parties, they promise to do things they don't intend to and they promise not to do things they intend to. They play the dirty game.
November 15, 201015 yr and then why do people keep voting them? not many people notice their lies? :\
