February 4, 201214 yr Anyone here good with Maths or Physics? I'm doing Mechanics AS Level (don't know what that's equivalent to in the US :P) and I'm stuck on a question on some homework :cry: I'm normally good at this sort of thing, and this is the first time I've been truly stumped by a maths question :( Anyone think they can help? A particle moves on a smooth surface with acceleration (3i – 5j) ms^-2. Initially the velocity of the particle is 4j ms^-1. Find the time when the particle is travelling in the i direction.
