    COLDPLAY ANNOUNCE MUSIC OF THE SPHERES FOR OCTOBER 15TH AND DROP ALBUM TRAILER

    Coldplay have today confirmed the release of their much-anticipated new album, Music Of The Spheres. The band's ninth LP will hit stores and streaming services on October 15th, 2021.

    The band announced the Max Martin-produced albumon Instagramvia a handwritten note alongside an album trailer (available on YouTube)

    The band’s note also seemed to hint at further sci-fi themes with the phrase 'Everyone is an alien somewhere'.

    In May, the band released Higher Power - the first single from Music Of The Spheres - which has been streamed more than 160 million times. The band’s note also revealed the imminent release of an album track called Coloratura on Friday, to be followed by a new single in September.

    The band have also revealed the full album tracklisting - with five of the twelve tracks represented by emojis.

    • I'm sure this guy has been mentioned here before. He may even be a member of this site, I don't know. But he has a whole piano playlist of most of Coldplay's material and he always kills it. Here's his piano cover of Coloratura and it's pretty brilliant.... ¬†
    • Agree! I don't think TKC functions well as an album closer and Twisted Logic is a¬†much¬†better closing song.
    • I totally agree with you. Last part reminded me a little to the intro instrumentals of Princess of China. That's for me the only part where those generic tones come into its own. Intro feels they wanted to give this song a kind of stadium vibe or pretended being played in a stadium somewhere in the universe. I think all the extras, including the robotic vocal effects, do make this song just less boring. But actually I don't think these effects are all right placed. But I'll give it another judge on October 15 when we've got some more context. In the meantime, I will enjoy listening to Human Heart, Higher Power and Coloratura.¬†
