A 27-year-old man from Stockholm who claimed he was a famous rock star managed to swindle nearly 250,000 kronor ($36,300) from unsuspecting victims, reports The Local, a Swedish online news agency. More than a quarter of all music albums bought in Britain now pass through supermarket checkouts, figures have revealed.   They show the increasingly dominant position of high street giants such as Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's in the music industry, with supermarkets taking 26 per cent of total sales last year. Michael Stipe is best known as the lead singer of the popular band R.E.M., but recently, he's been focused on the ongoing devastation in the Gulf Coast region.
