Jay Z has been lined up to perform a medley of his hits at the Brit Awards next February. It is understood Jay-Z will team up with another performer when he takes to the stage, believed to be either Alicia Keyes, Coldplay's Chris Martin or his wife Beyonce Knowles. "Jay-Z is confirmed as one of the key performers," a source told The Sun newspaper. "In weak years there have been problems securing the big international artists. But knowing Jay-Z is there will help to secure other big acts now."

The Pet Shop Boys are set to release a Christmas EP featuring a Coldplay cover, they have announced. The pop veterans played their version of "Viva La Vida" across this summer's festival circuit. It will feature alongside their take on "My Girl" by Madness, as part of the five-track collection. The tracklisting also features "It Doesn't Often Snow At Christmas", "All Over The World" and "Viva La Vida"/"Domino Dancing"/"My Girl" (Our House Mix). "Christmas" is out on December 14.
