The Sun: Coldplay are in final stages of negotiations for Glastonbury 2011 headline slot

glastonbury.jpgColdplay, U2 and Prince have been touted as headliners at next year's Glastonbury Festival, according to sources. Organiser Michael Eavis has already signed Prince and U2 to top the bill on the Pyramid Stage in 2011, while Coldplay are in the final stages of negotiations, according to The Sun.

The Sun's source said, "Coldplay are currently in negotiations about taking a headline slot. Michael has previously said Coldplay's set in 2005 was his personal favourite and is very pleased to be welcoming them back."

However, a Glastonbury spokesman declined to comment on next year's acts, saying: "We never comment on rumours until the official line-up is announced," despite Michael Eavis promising to reveal the headliners when tickets were sold out - which happened in early October.
