Group Effort: Guy Sings, Will Piano and Harmonica!
hmmmm maybe that will work... totally see why they want to do that, but the press love chris, he makes good copy for them u know...i think they all deserve the same credit for what they do, but the press (esp in the UK) wont see it that way i dont think! it all makes me curious to hear the vocals on the tracks now though!

Group Effort: Guy Sings, Will Piano and Harmonica!
wow! thats cool :) i think theyve all learned new stuff coz on the KCRW show Chris said that during their break Jonny had also learned how to play piano....i think that could make the live performances quite different, add a new dimension to everything- bring on crystal palace!

Coldplay Album's Colour-Coded Message
i think maybe its gonna be a representation of lots of things really- i think they might just say 'its ur own interpretation' ....it would kill me if they did though!

Coldplay Album's Colour-Coded Message
these are the lyrics on the end of square one: 'is there anybody out there who is lost and hurt and lonely too there blending all the colors into one and a few come undone as if you've been run through some catapult who fired you you wonder if your chance will ever come or if you're stuck in square one' so maybe thats what the colours represent and how they have blended them? and thats why they're in squares or something? We all know that from the interviews they seem most proud of square one? i dunno how it relates to x+y though! just thought i would point it out...... another aspect for everyone to deliberate over :) but i def see what everyone has been saying about the chromosomes so i'm prob completely off the mark! nevermind!

Solid Ground/ Swallowed In The Sea
i have solid ground and the lyrics sound pretty similar!!!! the first few lines are almost exactly the same so i reckon swallowed in the sea is a revamped version. its quite hard to tell coz the live mp3 isnt exaclty great quality!

Speed Of Sound
totally :) i am loving square one! now i know why chris has been talking about it in all of the interviews- they are obviously very proud of it

Speed Of Sound
Yeah...well i dont think In My Place was the best song on the last album, but that was released first...And it later came out that was the first good song the band thought they had written after parachutes and so it was an important song for them- they said they released it first because it sounded like it could have been on parachutes and it introduced arobtth, like a crossover song. Therefore maybe they see speed of sound as an introduction to the new album, and a song which is similar to stuff on arobtth in terms of its sound? i dont think non coldplay fans would get it if say square one was released first, because it sounds quite different from their other stuff, i guess its just like if after parachutes they had gone and released clocks first- i dont think people would get it?

Here's A Review Of Some Of The New Tracks
From NME: Square One: Probable first single. Built around a subtle electronic drumbeat reminiscent of Brian Eno or Berlin-period Bowie, the song builds into a huge chorus featuring massive guitars and organ. Like Radiohead's Paranoid Android, it's perplexing on the first listen and appears to go off on different tangents, but after a few spins it sounds like their most ambitious and possibly best song yet. What If: Starting with a simple piano, a fragile-sounding Chris sings, "What if you decide/You dont want me there by your side..in your life". Realizing that he can't completely control everything in life, he concludes "Every step you take could be your biggest mistake.../But that's the risk you take." This album's The Scientist. Talk: Another future single, "Talk" takes the riff from electronic music legends Kraftwerk's Computer Love and builds a completely new song. It keeps the mechanical beat of the original but adds a huge guitar and dancefloor filling bass-line. Stadiums wont be big enough to contain it. 'Till Kingdom Come: This was written for Johnny Cash but he died before he could record it. Coldplay's version is a sweet Dylan-esque folk song on acoustic guitar. "For you I'd wait till kingdom come/Until my days, my days are done." Chris vows. X&Y: The dreamy, synch heavy song features the chorus, "You and me are floating on a tidal wave together/You and me are drifting into outer space." Beatles style strings suddenly appear towards the end, and the anthemic singalong "woo-hoo-hoo" outro is set to become the sound of next summers festivals. The Hardest Part: A classic Coldplay love song about loss and heartbreak, in which Chris sings, "The hardest part was letting go, not taking part."
