Live at the BBC
Just posted in the other thread in the live section. If this is being shown live 7-7.45pm it really can't go on much longer than that can it???? I'm hoping I can get the last train bk to Liverpool from Euston at 9.10pm, I need reassurance before I book the train tickets!!!

18-June-2008: BBC Gig - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
OMG...I entered me and the bf randomly not thinking we had a chance, my confirmation received at 10.40, his at 10.41 and he just got home to find 2 Coldplay tix on his doorstep :O (although slightly confused as I got my confirmation first and din't get tix!) The numbers are in the 300s. Just trying to work out if its possible for us to go. We have to travel from Liverpool, luckily I have the day off uni and he has sweet talked a day off work. I can't afford to stay over and have can't-miss-uni on Thursday, so think we'll try get the last train bk from Euston at 9.10pm, we should make that shouldn't we??!! If the gig is being shown live from 7-7.45pm it surely can't last longer than that can it? I need reassurance that we should be able to get our train back!!!!

Is there some way to show Coldplay our disappreciation of all seating?
Completely agree, still can't get my head round it. People who want to stand get standing tickets, people who like their personal space and want to sit can do that too! WHY NOT HAVE STANDING AND SEATS??? It makes no sense!

7-Dec-08 - Liverpool, Echo Arena - Meetups, Review/Photos (originally 10-Dec)
Hahaha, glad to be of help! Still annoyed about the whole standing thing, I'll probably never get to go to Echo arena now, can't see there being any other bands that I like playing there, ah well.

12-Dec-08 - Manchester, MEN Arena - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
I'd phone them in a few hours when things have calmed down to see if they can tell you, or ask when they're allocating. Posted on another thread, a landline number for them is 01159129000

Completely agree with you! Its just so weird. I go to a lot of gigs, never have they all been all seating, didn't think Coldplay would've been the sort to do it either, oh well! Me and the bf have saved ourselves nearly £100 though, and we've seen Coldplay before a few times, not to worry :D

chances?
+1 WAAAYYY too expensive too. Only ever paid that sort of money for a couple of gigs - RHCP at MEN but that was standing, and Foos at Hyde Park which was golden circle! Oh and for people waiting for confirmation from See, it usually comes within a couple of hours, if not by tonight, give them a ring when things have calmed down to confirm. Should have put this on before, for anyone who wants a landline number, its 01159129000

£42.50 for floor and lower tier and £38.50 for crappy upper tier seats then?

7-Dec-08 - Liverpool, Echo Arena - Meetups, Review/Photos (originally 10-Dec)
Thats not the point though. The annoying thing is that there'll be hardly any really decent seats, especially on the floor which is flat, and I'm a complete short-arse, and the chances of getting them are so small, so why bother at all! I hate having a seating ticket at gigs, I love being as close to the band as possible, and don't mind queuing for hours, and Coldplay aren't even offering the chance, not like any of us on here are gonna get front row seats!!!!

sit down, shut up?
Wouldn't surprise me if that was some sort golden circle/competition winner type thing, or could just be a mistake!

chances?
From browsing soon after tix go on sale on See, they normally just say Best Seats available (then they randomly allocate after - remember this happening for Muse at Wembley Stadium, where some people ordered for example at 9.01 and ended up with crap seats though...Main reason for that was prob that blocks, seats etc weren't fully assigned. Think its usually first come first served in allocating what they think are best seats). If you're lucky it will give you a block. Ticketmaster are much better and normally tell you the block, row and seat number before you order. Hope that helps.

I agree. Liverpool is gonna be all seating too, according to their box office, and £42.50!!!!! I can't afford that sort of price, especially for a seat. Part of the whole gig experience for me is queuing to get a good spot at the front and being as close to the band as possible. Really disappointed, I won't be buying tickets now.

Just phoned the box office, its all seating and tickets are £42.50. I definitely won't be going now....I'm not paying what'll end up over £90 for 2 to see Coldplay having to sit down. NO WAY. It's a very bad decision whoever decided this :(
