I am paraphrasing this so much but, at the Detroit (clarkston, MI) show, he talked about the VMAS and how Paris Hilton snubbed him and didn't even say hi, and how even though to fans they are super rock stars, but some ppl still think they are just losers, and that Paris Hilton the superbabe wont' even look at them. So when they did the acoustic set and played Til Kingdom come, Chris said this is for Paris Hilton. And I believe he changed one line to something about her father owning all the hotels in the world. Also when he messed up a bit in The Scientist, Chris blamed it on the fact that he had spent the weekend in Miami with 50 cent. :lol:

Wow, I didn't think Chris' voice was that bad, but everyone keeps commenting on it and hopefully he can recover. I mean they do have to play in Detroit on Tues. Kind of makes me think they should have skipped this performance and got the rest and relaxation they deserve. :cry:

yeah wire image is notorious for that. I mean come on, show a little effort and proof read what the captions say and confirm if it is right. losers. :lol: anyway, I have so many similar ones of Chris that I took. especially the blue backlighting while he is on piano.

That was from the Cincinnati show at Riverbend ( I cheated and listened to the live broadcast that was recorded and put on a torrent :rollsyes: I think it is still in the multimedia section) But I do live in Michigan and I drove down there just to see them because I had Pit tickets. At that part, I was probably frantically taking pictures and or deleting sub par pictures from my camera. Which is so stupid, because I should have just been watching and listening and taking in all that is Coldplay.

As they were setting up the acoustic part of the show, Chris decided to introduce the band. and it was pretty damn funny. " We don't often do this but since we haven't been here for a long time, we don't normally do this but, I'm gonna introduce the band. in a style of 'miss world' announcer, from uh Wales, which is neear England, uh weighing in at about 390 lbs. he loves to eat cake, but he's still handsome none the less, Jonny plays guitar. weighing in at about 3000 lbs. he loves to drive and he loves to shoot horses and bears, he doesn't! he doesn't like to do any of those things, this is Will, he's our swiss army drummer, he plays everything there is to play. and uh Pamela Anderson's next boyfriend, Guy Berryman, is sat right behind us. He's the handsome one of Coldplay!" :lol:

Definitely try to get TALK. because of the crazy flashlight part. then second choice would be clocks so you can watch the guys go bonkers at the end. and then thrid choice is a tie between square one,( its the opener and chris is lightening quick at approaching the end of the stage and getting in ppl's faces) the acoustic part with till kingdom come/don't panic, and IN my place because Chris runs into the crowd. and by the way are you in good seats?

That's rude of them to say that. I know how you feel, because my friend Jenny( who is pretty tall) who was next to me against the fence in the pit had some bitchy woman ( who by the way came like 15 mins before the show started and kept callin ppl to brag how she was in the pit but by herself) anyway, this woman with spilling drink in her hand had the nerve to yell into Jenny's ear as Square One was ending, " hey, I will pay you to get out of my way, so I can stand where you are" Of course she said no way. but still I am a firm believer in first come first serve. so what if a taller person is in front of you. then you should have come earlier to avoid that situation. :P

No way! Zu, you met NEK? I love him. amazing voice. did you happen to get any pictures? that is some list things you have won. And I totally agree, about winning the lottery. But the only thing I can recall winning that was fun and rewarding for me ( at the time) -floor tickets for NSYNC at Comerica Park for my 16th birthday. ;)

yay! this is great news, it will be terrific to see the guys on national tv once again.

I am gonna pray so hard that they come back to tour in North America again. And I hope they will come close to Michigan or even back to Detroit. I don't care I will drive hours to see them like I did for Cincinnati. :lol: But correct me if I am wrong, I heard or read somewhere that Coldplay was not attending the VMAs this year even though they are nominated, I think the reason was not enought time between shows since it will be inbetween a show in CA and the one here in Detroit. Maybe not enough rest time? not sure but to see them on The VMAS would be fantastic, but not if they have to give up precious relaxation time for the band. :confused:

Wow, I am surprised that Shiver didn't sell well. It is my favorite song from Coldplay ( and I don't change around with my favorites ) and I when I saw the video I was even more impressed, I mean I don't even play an instrument, but they way they were playing with so much effort and emotion. And I didn't even get Parachutes the album until after AROBTH.

Oh really? yeah the girl to my right was with her sister, 2 down from me. She was the one who caught Chris' camera, got to grab his hand when he reached out and was thrown Will's drumstick. I don't want to say I am jealous, because they were sweet girls, but she was so LUCKY! And here's another thing: at the end I didn't want to leave because I wanted to try to get a setlist. I kept asking to the crew: " Sir can I have that setlist, I will give it a good home!" well he then proceeded to give it to someone else and then I saw Guy;s beer bottle there, and I yelled " Sir I can recycle that bottle! Can you please hand it to me?" lol nope he gave it to some other girl, and Then I gave out one last plea " Sir can I have one of the water botttles? I am thirsty and then you won't have to throw it out!" and of course he handed it to the girl. :huh: OH WELL! I guess I was too annoying!

awesome! yeah you were right nearby. you took some captivating shots. :o Isn't it bittersweet though to look at all the pictures? :lol: for me it is because I know never again will I be able to be that close. Did you manage to get any thing like one of those cameras thrown into the crowd?

Take your cameras. The place I went to said no cameras but I had 3 with me! and I was in the Pit front center, they didnt say one thing to me. The risk is so big yet you can't miss the opportunity. just put it below other stuff. Like one of mine was in my back pocket, another in my purse under a road map, and the last one was in a carrying case that had my sunglasses strapped on top. there is little ways to get around it. And as for flashes, I didnt use mine in a lot of the beginning, then I decided " screw This" and after that all my pictures got better and they can't stop the fans if everyone brings cameras! Safe in Numbers! :)
