Hell fuck yeah, I was waiting for that moment for days. Rationally I wasn't sure this could happen again with that third album, but now it happened!! I fell in love again, that's super!!!

It's not a matter of change, (ROBITH was different from Parachutes and I love them both) it's a fact. In the previous albums, the bass lines, the guitar lines, the drum lines, the piano lines were outstanding and geniuses. In X&Y all is simplified and banalized, that's it.

No, SOS have a powerful bass line. When the bass enter the first time you can feel it in under your skin, that happens exactly at 01:06. So bad, those shivers doesnt' happens so much like in the previous albums.

Well, it's a bit sad, but if you compare that X&Y with the 2 old masterpiece albums, that's quite true. They are really simpified (banalized) their musical structure. Another important signal (for me personally) is that when I was listening to the old Coldplay I was always fascinated and runs to get guitar or to the piano to play and sing all their songs. This thing with X&Y songs has still never happened.

Oh, finally I don't feel alone now. It's my exact feeling about that album.

i dont know about that, i think chris's vocals in fix you are some of his most inspired and heartfelt yet. Try to hear "Easy To Please" from the "Brothers & Sisters" EP.

I'm keeping listening that album 24h/day and the biggest problem is that the Chris voice in that album isn't intimate anymore but it's more rock and louded. That's why I feel something important is missed. They have simplified their music structures too. (I don't want to say banalized) That album is build with more head and less heart.

I believe that was the point ;) I actually would like more piano myself, but then people would start talking that it was supposed to be a different album and it's not, so coldplay has run out of ideas, blah blah. It's better this way! In fact this album is an half step ahead and 2 step behind the other 2 albums.

In that album they have lose something important, that's sad. Sad but true. :( (I'm listening to Easy to Please now, from Brothers & Sisters EP)

I will record it with Cool Edit Pro 2.1 in wave stereo direct stream at 96kb. (yes, the stream is in stereo) Then mastering and denoise if necessary, at the end I'll compress it in mp3 at 96kb CBR. It's because he played the piano for 85% of the song, a thing that in the album doesn't happen. And of course he was so fucking ispired of singing too.

Ok let me explain because this is really important for me to know: I made a zip file with 2 pictures, 2 mp3s and a txt file explanation to let you understand and hear what noise is and how bad it is if it's present on original cd too. The 2 images are that ones: The txt included in the archive says that: Noise1 shows the beginning of Proof; that wave portion highlited in white is the noise alone at the beginning of the song, Noise1.mp3 is that first 3 second of the song. Picture Noise2 shows that white highlited noise portion alone, copied and pasted 10 times in a row with 3 second of silence at the begin and at the end, to show the difference between perfect silence and noise, as you can hear on Noise2.mp3 Now listen again to Noise1 or to the whole song and hear that all that noise is fully present for the entire song. SoS and TIDU doesn't have that noise. I simply want to know if this is studio recording problem present on original CD too or simply ripping problem, because if this is studio problem that's a big annoying mistake. Hey Jette, I'm listening that Proof have a bad high noise in the background for the whole song (I checked with meters, CeP, Nuendo and Pro Tools, and the noise is there), it's strange because SoS and TIDU don't have it, so seems it can'be ripping problem. Can you please check if that noise is on the original CD too?
