Parachutes: **** AROBTTH: **** X&Y: **** That's the way i see it, i'm gonna attempt to have coldplay marathon during one of my revision sessions, from Don't Panic to Til Kingdom Come and see if i can notice their evoloution - I'm pretty sure i'll notice one. The fact is both Parachutes and AROBTTH are building blocks and without them, X&Y would never be playing on my IPOD. For that reason alone they deserve respect (as well as the fact they are just as good as Parachutes and A rush of blood to the head) - In my opinion that is :)

Plagerism isn't plagerism if you acknowledge (and evolve from) the source.

So with the G8 (and live8 :D ) summit coming up, we have a chance to take an active step in diminishing african debt and actually improve the lives of millions. I find it so hard to even comprehend that anyone, particularly a world leader would oppose these plans. Yet it looks as if it's happening. What i find most absured is the reasoning: Now, we have the most powerful country in the world effectivley refusing to help the poorest parts of the world. I always hate doing these cause i always sound a right :square: ! Me names pete and i've been an [obbsessive - (what my friends say anyway)] coldplay fan since hearing 'don't panic' on the bus home from school so many years back i can't actually rember when (i was in year 10)! Throughout the years both parachutes and a rush of blood to the head have been invaluable revision stimulants, probably the only reasons i passed GCSE and AS :D. With my final A-levels fast approaching it looks as if X&Y could be the motivation i need to actually sit down and revise 'ligand substitution' :( and hopefully send me off to Cardiff to become DR Pete :D ! I've kinda been a cyber-stalker of this forum for a while, i dunno why- prolly cause you guys are all so intimidating :cool: , but i've finally decided to register and share my love (in a naturally straight way, of course) for the bois! I look forward to the many ban requests you will all be submitting :smug: Also - very proud to say that i will be seeing Coldplay FOR THE FIRST TIME(!) at the reebok stadium on the 5th July - i can't wait :D :D Oh, and other than coldplay, um.......hobbies - swimming, basketball, badminton, guess i'll try anything once :confused: ....feel free to bully me now :cry: :cry:

This is way hard! AT THE MOMENT: 1. The Hardest Part (i'm a sucker for an uptempo melody :D ) 2. X&Y 3. Fix You (classic classic classic classic song) 4. Twisted Logic (They need more songs of this tone for sure!) 5. Talk (I LOVE how at the end it morphs into the old talk :stunned:) 6. White Shadows (Reminds me of Prince - which is a good thing) 7. Re: This board makes the band to over hyped. Meh - that argument can be discounted by simply saying that you're entitled to you're opinion (i.e. you made a topic on it) and hence other people are entitled to theirs (i.e. they make topics on the best pianio rifts on coldplay). However, I respect your opinion, however flawed it may be.

White Shadows really reminds me of prince, and i can see why the NME review cited U2 as an inspiration. Just finished listening to them all - The Hardest Part already sounds brilliant! As does Swallowed In the Sea and Twisted Logic and X&Y, damn, they all sound great!
