Not sure what happened to my last message, but I'm too lazy to type it out again. Rescheduling really isn't as feasible as just outright cancelling usually is. The band plays in rain, as we've seen from things like the Soldier Field concerts in the past (and partially this year too). NRG stadium's roof will be closed as far as I've heard. When I called NRG's box office 15-20 mins ago, they said there is nothing yet on cancelling or postponing and it seems to be still going on as normal. Your best bet is to try getting a hotel in the area in case the weather does get quite bad. I'm driving in from ATX myself Friday morning. EDIT: I don't want to come off as weird or anything, but if the weather is bad, I don't mind offering my hotel room to anyone in the forum to just hang around at a safe & dry location until it lets up, regardless of the time of night. I'm staying in Katy though. I'd rather people be safe than drive at night in the pouring rain, especially when it's likely going to flood.

It's a beautiful day for this concert! :) I'm in sec 325 with/next to the Texas flag. Hard to miss.

Flying out in a few hours from TX! Super stoked. I opted to not take my special outfit for this concert because of the forecasted rain, and just wear it for the Houston concert next week instead. :( Here's hoping we won't have a repeat of last year @ Soldier Field with the rain...

Any details on the proposed meetup to get the ball rolling? The days are ticking away for the show. :p I think I'm going to forego any public transportation this round because me being a mid 20s small woman that gets passed off as a 15 year old, in an unfamiliar city (especially in a "weird" outfit) is kind of a big red flag target to some pretty nefarious individuals on trains/busses. I've got a rental car already reserved, so it's just the issue of finding adequately priced parking that isn't a mile or more walk, but if it comes to that, I'll just uberpool/lyft line or pedicab (if y'all have that there).

YIKES! For $50, I kinda do mind. The most we ever pay for immediate lot concert parking at (NFL) stadiums here in Texas is $20-30, and same for when I lived in Missouri and went to events there. I believe I tried that link a while back (I'm on mobile right now so I can't check), but it didn't yield any results in my desired range. Oh well. :/ I guess I'll try parking within a 5 mile radius and just ridesharing nearby...

About less than a month out from the concert, so I figured I would bump this thread up, since it seems like the other August dates are doing the same. :D Austinite here going out to Houston after I catch them in Chicago the week before! Lots of traveling! What section is everyone in? I'll be in section G if I recall correctly, and I'll be wearing a recreation of Beyonce's Hymn For The Weekend outfit I made, that I'm wearing in my avatar. I'm super excited for the show!

Just bought my ticket and flight last week, coming in all the way from Texas! :) I'll be attending the Houston show too, but with a floor seat. I tried to get some for Kansas City as well, since I saw them in STL and Dallas last year, but it was just way too out of my price range for both flight and ticket. :( In any case, depending on the forecasted weather, and considering last year was pouring rain, I will most likely be going in my Hymn For The Weekend outfit (as shown in my avatar), and I'm excited to meet other Coldplayers! If we decide to have a meet-up, I'm game! Any tips for an out-of-stater like parking and whatnot are greatly appreciated.
