I like the "terrible song, good video comment" about the hardest part video shoot. Although I wouldn't say it's a terrible song, it's not their best and it's nice to see their point of view on their own work. I'd be a little worried if I didn't see some self-criticism from my fav. band from time to time. The new site is exciting...makes the idea of a new album seem a little more real after the wait. Can't wait for that release this winter.

Arena is a little loud yea but he has also brought the program out of the basement and at least to mediocrity, if not then above average. Still a long way to go for american soccer (yes, soccer. football for everyone else, the name was already taken when it came time to play over here). Italy is an impressive team obviously and will be heavy favorites, but i do find it to be a bit ridiculous that people seem to gang up on americans when it comes to the world cup. Look, this isn't our sport...obviously. Kids here dream of being the next Michael Jordan (basketball), Jerry Rice (football), or Roger Clemens (baseball), and likely not a Ronaldinho or Henry or Rooney. It just too congested in the sports scene for that to instantly happen. I'd say its an accomplishment for us to even qualify for how far down on the chain the sport is over here, let alone advance like last WC.

nice to see us americans supporting our team like this...oh wait. nevermind, this is basically the forum where we talk shit about our own country....huh? Cmon people, god knows the rest of the world would love to see the u.s. fail, so if we join them then who's left to support the team? Yes it was a bad start, but please- even though italy is stacked- don't diss the team to this extent. U.S. Soccer has come a long way in recent years and is slowly starting to gain overall popularity for the sport in a land of a full sporting schedule year round with 3 already established national sports. Enjoy the world cup, enjoy the talent put together by each country, but dear god haha please have a little faith in the U.S. It will come together for us eventually.

i can't get over the crappy x&y lyrics. nice new sound but overall they could stand to go for some more meaningful words to put to that sound. Case and point: Swallowed in the Sea. Beautiful musically, simple and memorable..yet the lyrics are laughable. Rush of Blood combined a slightly smaller sound and not as electric as that of x&y with much better lyrics. Chris needs to realize that you don't need to dumb down lyrics to be relatable. The album highlights the best and worst of Coldplay for me, that being Politik- their masterpiece in my eyes and the best live track theyve made thus far, and a Whisper. Why?! why did you include this shitty song above B-Side gems like I Ran Away and See You Soon. Questionable... Parachutes is stripped down to the bare melody of the songs, and it really works. Don't Panic is simply beautiful. Shiver brings a bit of energy to the album along with Yellow. And then there are trouble and We Never Change; they examplify the tight grasp that coldplay has on their ability to use musical structure and intimate melody to touch their fans' hearts. Simply Amazing songs. I'd give the nod to Parachutes because i do not find a skippable song, Rush of Blood would have won if not for a whisper, and x&y...although making a better live show- disappointed from a lyrical standpoint.

Low is so damn underwhelming if you havent seen it live, the drums sound like shit and seriously how exciting can playing the same power chord for an entire song really be. I cringe when i hear people trying to promote this as a single. Let's face it, coldplay is out of place as a "hard rock" type of band, and its heartbreakingly apparent when a band founded upon a knack for beautiful belody and perfectionism tries to go the opposite by playing boring monotonous songs like low. I've been to a few concerts of theirs, yes they are great live. But when choosing singles, they aren't going to pick a live version...they're going with the studio version. Just keep in mind that putting Low out as a single is not neccessarily going to win any new fans, and quite honestly the selection of singles for coldplay is not all that important- their success on the singles charts is abysmal compared to the amount of albums they push...so technically anyone who wants to hear their music has the album anyways.

you can't spell Blows without Low...we never change takes it, low "takes it" also but not the first prize, it takes it elsewhere

it wouldnt have fit well on x&y...hence why they decided to make kingdom come a "hidden track." Revert back to parachutes type stuff

It actually worked well though, quiet through the front end of the preview. I heard the organ and told my roomate "turn that up...what the hell?" then king kong like broke out of nowhere and started running around and he tore the plane apart. I was kinda confused but in the end it was cool.

um...i don't like the video really at all. sorry but it got so hyped up with the director and all and i just finished it with a feeling like i was cheated. too weird, too scattered.and just because something is in black and white doesn't make it a good video in the end. sorry :/ i hope with the next one they have a better outing, i was a bit disappointed with this, if anything the single selection itself.

Ive been to the MCI center quite a few times, as long as you stay out of the upper level you'll be fine. Its on a fairly small lot considering the size of other venues ive been to, so it is not very wide...meaning to add more seats, you can only go up! the lower levels are fine and dont feel cramped or anything, MCI center is a very nice venue altogether though.

BOOOOOO UNC, haha i wont have to worry too much about them this year considering they lost everyone, plus we beat them last year. Go Wake
