  1. No no. That was not my intent. I do not like Capitalism. I was saying that this country will always be Capitalist and will not change. I believe that all people should be able to go to a doctor if they are sick and not have to pay for it. I do not believe that people should have to pay out of pocket for surgeries, medicines, etc...
  2. I've got to run. You all have a great night!:cool3:
  3. Given the state of the economy, it's not that easy to just walk away.
  4. I see what you are saying. But I mean more in the socialist sense of England, Canada, Sweden...mainly healthcare and such. I am not for a pure Socialist government.
  5. You assume all of the thugs will kill each other first. I am not so sure. I guess I would rather have the gov control my life than live in fear of what people may do to me in an anarchy.
  6. I am not so sure Anarchy would be a bad thing. I would just be too nervous to find out. People can be mean mean mean!
  7. As far as America goes you are right my friend. But hey....with Obama....I can dream can't I?:sneaky:
  8. You make me laugh Julia. I have known men to be worse drivers than women though. I am sure you are a fine driver. Parallel parking is very difficult. In Chicago, some friends of mine would gently nudge the car in front and behind them so their car would fit:laugh3:
  9. I do not think the gov runs anything better. I give you that point. That is the Capitalist model. I want a more socialized, caring government. I know it's all roses and sunshine and shit and that it will never happen but I can dream I guess. The gov will always mess shit up.
  10. As ashamed as I am I will take a good cheeseburger anyday!
  11. First of all, this country is and will always be Capitalist. To turn away from that model would truly sink the country. Therefor, the whole anarchy thing will never come to fruition. At least not in my lifetime. Secondly, I would like to see education provided with much more money than it currently gets. Defense is King in this country and always gets the biggest piece of the pie. I would also like to see socialized health care. This is is the only industiralized country in the world where you could go bankrupt if you get sick or need surgery. That is just not appropriate. You make a good point. I DO NOT support the war in Iraq and hate that my tax dollars go to the cause but I feel as though there is nothing I can do about that unfortunately. How else would we take care of the poor and needy if the gov didn't. Philanthropical organizations cannot carry the burden of millions of needy people.
  12. Good point. pot will never be federally legal in this country but I think more states(in New Engand and in the West) will get on board and see how much good a pot tax could do to help the people that live there.
  13. Now THAT, I will agree with;)
  14. I agree with your first statement. However, I believe that the government should take care of its people. I would align myself more socialist than anything else. I do respect your views and understand what you are saying. The U.S. is too far along to go down the road you suggest. There will always be taxes. How else would we provide services in this country? I have no problem paying taxes if it supports causes that I find important.
  15. to Josh42: You want Anarchy then? You've got to have some kind of control man. Government need not always be evil. I'd rather tax the hell out of pot and have the money go to education and city improvements etc.
  16. I hate trying to park when there is very little space. Not fun at all. I suck at parallel parking:embarassed:
  17. Yes, I too have had my fair share of speeding tickets. 6 and counting...
  18. The taxes will go to getting Cali out of the mess it is in now. Can you imagine the billions of dollars our gov could make by legalizing and taxing pot. More money for education would be really nice. Granted you are anti-gov influence.
  19. I agree that you have mellowed good sir. I don't see eye to eye with you on everything but we do have more in common now. You are chill Mr. Nick:cool:
  20. Nick, I'll agree that we will be in Iraq long after 2011. I was wrong on that point. However, it really is not logical for Obama to be this complete 180 in terms of Iraq and Afghanistan policy. It would be a bad idea to just pull out of there now. We made a mess which must be cleaned up. Bush is to blame 100 percent for Iraq. On the other hand. Bush would have never made the kind of speech that Obama made in Egypt. He never would have reached out to our European allies the way that BObama has. There is a great deal of difference in the tone of Obama and the peace that he truly would like to see.
  21. Can't argue with that response Nick:cool:
