Exactly. And Eno is a perfect producer, especially for the kind of music Coldplay write. This album may not be immediately accessible in terms of instant gratification but I am confident that repeated listens will turn this album into one of their best......I hope:-)

I have full faith that the studio version will be incredible and better. Very much excited.

haha, good post. I LOVED X&Y when it first came out. Now I cannot even listen to it. Their first 2 albums are timeless. X&Y.....not so much. I have a very good feeling that VLVODAAHF will be!!

It's a Coldplay record. It will be awesome. I do not need a glowing critical review to know how amazing the record will be.

Lovers In Japan is certainly the best of the new songs I have heard and quite possibly my most favorite song since anything on AROBTTH. I am very excited to see the atmospheric lushness that Eno will bring to this already classic Coldplay tune for the studio version. I am so ready for Viva La Vida. I am in desperate need of a Coldplay pick-me-up. Nothin' better:-)

Wow, thanks for the heads up. Chemtrails sounds awesome. I much prefer the Beck of Sea Change/Mutations/The Information. Rich, melancholic, melodic head candy. Sea Change is one of the best albums ever, in my opinion. I am very excited at the news of Beck's new album. Oh yeah, and no worries about the album tracks being short. This is from the Rolling Stone article: The original vision for Modern Guilt was 10 short tracks. “I was hoping all the songs would be two minutes long,” Beck says, “but then I got rid of all the short songs.”

True. That Rolling Stone article gave me hope for there being vocals in this song. There is no doubt though that this is a very strong opener for the album.

I think that Life In Technicolor will be longer than the current snippet. A 2 1/2 minute opener seems way too short. I really hope there are some vocals also. I am all for an instrumental but for this song, vocals would only make it better.

I was lucky enough to score an advance copy of OLTA( I am still buying it on Tuesday). Upon first listen I did not think OLTA was as engaging as TOTBL or even Antics. Then I listened to the album again. This album is a creeper and gets better with repeated plays. OLTA is fantastic and I believe better than Antics though not quite the ear candy that TOTBL is. Interpol’s sound has changed. They sound much tighter, Paul has never sounded better, they rock. That Interpol lushness that I love so much has come back a bit on this album. My favorites are: Pioneer to the Falls, Scale, Heinrich Maneuver, No I in Threesome, Pace is the Trick, and one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs I have ever heard, The Lighthouse, one of my most favorite songs since TOTBL and different than any song Interpol has done before. I highly recommend you pick up this album, great from start to finish. “Slow down And let the waves have their way now Slow, and let the waves have their day”
