Your Gay/Bi Coldplaying Brothers and Sisters.
Ok, I have to disagree here. I am gay and not your "typical" gay guy. However, going to gay pride parades is an incredible experience. It is in no way meant to shout out to the world and rub in their faces that we are gay, it is meant to be a coming together of all brothers and sisters in harmony, gay, straight, bi, trans, and to have a great time. Drink a little, party a little and just have an awesome time. When I go, I go with my gay and straight friends and we have a party. I also do not understand what you mean by dress and act normally. There is no one way to act. There are the bears, and the leathers and queens and the regulars and hell, we just are who we are. It is ok to be proud of who you are. It is not rubbing it in anyone's face. Is it wrong for there to be Cinco De Mayo parades and St. Patrick's day parades etc? No, it's people representing who they are and having a great time doing it. Rock and Roll:-)

The Republic Tigers
This is a really great band. Their album Keep Color is rediculously good. These are my two favorites off the album. The first single Buildings and Mountains is amazing. Here is the Youtube link The second song is Feelin' The Future and is my favorite off the album. You must hear this song. Just push the play button on the page. Give this song time to develop. The chorus is rich, lush and grand. I hope you enjoy:-) http://hypem.com/track/587530/Republic+Tigers-Feelin%27+The+Future

Hey man, it's been a while for sure. All is hanging well thanks;-) How are you M?

Your Gay/Bi Coldplaying Brothers and Sisters.
I sort of fit into the mold of not really "acting gay" if there really is such a mold. Anywho, you will come to the "am I gay or bi" bit in all due time. It has been my experience though that most people who are bi tend to lean more towards that same sex. You sound like you have your stuff pretty well put together. You will be fine.

Rolling Stone: 3.5/5 Stars
A link to the review. By the way, totally rediculous that they only gave the album a lesser rating because of its ambiguous political leanings. Reviews should be about the music! http://www.rollingstone.com/reviews/album/21236751/review/21256424/viva_la_vida_or_death_and_all_his_friends

Sounds like Genesis
The song has a melody and chord change that reminds me of Eno's An Ending Ascent. This song also is featured in Frou Frou's Hear Me Out. What do you all think. Eno http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeGdUMynSOU Frou Frou http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qkeiREEh28

Amsterdam is and always will be the greatest of Coldplay album closers. Death is great but Amsterdam is simply sublime.

The Official Opinions about the new album thread
I just finished listening to the album and while it will take a while to fully sink in, here is my take on the album. By the way, it is a truly wonderful album. Powerful and beautiful yet not as immediately accessible as anything they've released before. This is a very mature album from the best band in the world today. Life in Technicolor- Most are familiar with this song. A tad bit too short but great all the same. Instrumental track that goes into...9/10 Cemetaries of London- This is a great, great, song. Interesting beats. Dark tones and mood. Great Buckland guitar. Atmospheric, delightful head candy. One of my favorite coldplay tracks ever and my most favorite off the new album so far. 10/10 Lost!- Another familiar song. This version is more funked out with a thick beat. I do like the addition of the guitar and heavy organ though the acoustic version, in the end, was the better version. Great song still.8/10 42-What an opening. Gorgeous and reminiscent of old-school Coldplay. The breakdown at 1:35 is wonderful. This is a song that has it all. Guitar and piano. It is ballady and rockin' and lush and glorious.10/10 Lovers in Japan/Reign of Love- Better than the acoustic version I must say. Eno production is sparkling here. Faster beat, beautiful vocals, piano, the whole deal. Reign of Love was a soft delicate ballad but I was not blown away. It was good but not great.10/10 Yes/Chinese Sleep Chant- Great opening strings. I think this song will grow on me. It is almost bluegrass sounding. I do love Martin's lower register on this track though. Chinese Sleep Chant I liked more. Great guitar riff which martins vocals glide over. Gauzy, great reverb, great sound.8/10 Viva La Vida- great song, we are all aware.10/10 Villet Hill- ditto8/10 Strawberry Swing- A real sweet treat this one is. Very different. Almost sounds like a country song meets Fleetwood Mac meets Coldplay's majesty. Great chord changes here. Definitely one of the standout songs for me. Chills the whole time. Wow.10/10 Death and All His Friends/The Escapist- Beautiful ballad and I love the guitars towards the end. A worthy closing piece though Amsterdam will always be the king of Coldplay album closers. Still this track is gorgeous and the Escapist revisits the wonderful theme of Life in Technicolor while adding the vocals that would have been nice as opener. Granted, this is still a great track.9/10 All in all this album is very solid and a definite 9/10. Coldplay have progressed and did not go back to the same bag of tricks for this album. Not all fans will be pleased and again, this is an album that demands repeated plays to truly understand its greatness. This album comfortably stands in the ranks of Parachutes and Rush of Blood. I am glad that Coldplay sound as good as ever. We really are lucky to have such inspiring and beautiful music to get us through the long lazy Summer.
