  1. they said the hardest part and shiver were ommitted, not included.
  2. well maybe he just said that because australia are so little known in terms of football, and no one expected us to do well, so he said he'd go for us. anyways, i think its just a case of sucking up to the home town. im sure he has nothing against italians.
  3. what are you talking about? it was just a joke. if australia had beaten italy and coldplay were playing in italy, he wouldve said australia is shit.
  4. haha people are idiots. its so sad, coldplay will not be back for ages now :( and i cant remember the concert lol. i mean i remember bits, but i wish i could just play it over again in my head. it was just the best time ever, and it went too fast :(
  5. haha, the funniest thing i saw was when two people behind me go 'when are they gonna play fix it!!!!???' and i thought 'why pay 120 for a concert and not even know the name of the damn songs.'
  6. well i only heard the second half... but i dunno. it was ok, but chris seemed a little fed up with answering the same questions. so instead he goes 'you try answering that question, what do you do to entertain yourself?' hehe. it was funny. but yeah, ill post it soon.
  7. in other news... i just heard chris talking to a guy on triple J, i only managed to record half of it though, so ill get the podcast and upload it when it comes out.
  8. oh yeah bon, i was about... 5 metres behind you. if that.
  9. yeah i was well happy when they did that in the scientist. its kind of weird, i knew their whole show before they started :P but it was still awesome. im really looking forward to this live recording, i was really hoping one would show up, so it would be great if you could upload it!
  10. lol i was tempted to yell out hi... but the last concert i went to was with this same friend of mine, and i met someone there i knew from a message board.... and she thought i was weird cuz of that lol. so imagine doing it twice in a row! i wouldve been disowned! haha. yeah i wish more people were there for youth group. its funny that no one seemed to care about them, and yet they will be going on their own tour soon where they are the major act. anyways, it didnt stop me from singing along. and yes bonita was short. dont be offended bonita :P ok im going to bed now. this time, honest.
  11. that was no penalty, there was no contact in the challenge until that italian wanker 'fell' over neill. i felt so sorry for neill, who has been australia's best player this tournament. we deserved that win but we didnt get it. thats the way it goes :(
  12. haha, yeah i saw you guys! i recognised bonnie from fotos id seen before, and i assumed you were the blonde chick next to her! i saw you standing up before youth group while everyone else was sitting down. i was just behind you to the left on the floor, with an amazing view. you guys were so close! and close to johnnys camera! i was hoping one of you caught it :( i had a fucking amazing time. youth group were absolutely awesome, as people had told me they were live, and im so psyched about the new album now :P their dedicating skeleton jar to lucas neill was so appropriate... 'i feel like hell' hehe. by the way, we were so robbed in that game, and it makes me so cranky. but coldplay made me feel better :P so yeah, coldplay came on and it was fucking awesome. politik and clocks were the best i think, but the whole set was spectacular. i went with 2 friends of mine, and ill admit i did have some tears in my eyes when they played the scientist. ah it was just so good. you were there, i dont have to tell you! only bad part was when this dude next to me decided to smoke some pot during what if. that was a bit seedy, and it smelled bad. but other than that it was the best night of my life. i would sell my soul to get a bootleg of that night. bit of a story about getting there though. as i dont really know my way around sydney (im from newcastle) my friends and i asked the nice bus driver to tell us when to get off at the ent centre (we wanted to get there about 45 mins early. i said about 4 hours, but my friend who went the day before said that it didnt really fill up that quick) so yeah, the bus driver goes 'ok, ill give you a yell' and then gave us a smile so i though yeah this bloke wont let us down! but alas! the stupid fucker forgot to tell us. so we went about 2km further than we needed to, and ended up running to the ent centre! then id gotten a bit nervous so i drank heaps of water and then i needed to piss so we were even later and i was getting screamed at :P but we got there on time anyways and got about 6 rows back from the front and saw youth group and then saw coldplay and then all had several orgasms and now im fine! hehe. well im going to bed now. watch denton, monday night!
  13. hehe yeah, i dont think my friend was too keen on lining up that early :P i have other friends who went last night though, so i can ask them how early i should get there. go the socceroos! that article about coldplay in the sydney morning herald has made me excited, i want the socceroos to win so coldplay sing a song about them! lol
  14. yeah im gonna get there about 6:30. i figure that the floor isnt that huge anyways, so anywhere will be a good view. but up front still better :D i was gonna get there like 4, but my friend told me that was obsessive. so ive been restricted :( hehe.
  15. ah im so excited for tuesday now! and youth group too! its like my favourite band playing plus youth group which are just fucking awesome in one night. oh im so excited.
  16. ah i knew theyd do that :-) and yay chris is on denton! i was really hoping he would be, thats so awesome.
  17. Coldplay play tribute to the Socceroos Saturday Jun 24 09:39 AEST Coldplay (AAP) British supergroup Coldplay charmed Australian fans with a tribute to the Socceroos and a Shane Warne joke when they opened the Down Under leg of their world tour in Brisbane. Engaging frontman Chris Martin donned a Socceroos' scarf and marvelled at Australia's sporting credentials as Coldplay won over 12,000 enthusiastic fans at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. "As English people we just have to ask is there anything you can't do?" he said. "The answer is 'no'." In tribute to Australia's qualification for the second round of the World Cup following the 2-2 draw with Croatia, Martin changed a verse in the song Politik, singing "Give Harry Kewell Australia's second goal". advertisement Introducing the song God Put A Smile On Your Face, Martin - a keen follower of England's soccer team - said he hoped Australians would be smiling after the Socceroos next match against Italy. The energetic Martin brought Australia's Test cricket world-record holding leg spin bowler Warne into the act by saying "it's hotter up here than a Shane Warne text message". Fans were treated to songs from Coldplay's three albums, including their first international hit Yellow complete with giant yellow balloons, and also a Johnny Cash tribute with a performance of Ring of Fire. Aiming to rival Irish rockers U2 as the world's top band, Coldplay are making their first major concert tour of Australia since initially coming Down Under for Big Day Out in 2001. They were last in Australia three years ago for the Splendour in the Grass festival at Byron Bay. This time they are packing out concert venues around the country and their act features a spectacular laser light show, panoramic video screens and computer graphic projection. Songs from their last offering X&Y - the world's biggest selling album last year - sounded far superior live than on record, particularly Talk and Swallowed In The Sea. The rhythm section of drummer Will Champion and bass player Guy Berryman packed far more of a punch live than on the X&Y album while Jonny Buckland lived up to his reputation as one of the world's best lead guitarists. Fans lapped up the major hits such as Clocks and In My Place and the three song encore closed with Fix You - the band's favourite track from their current album and a stirring concert finale. Coldplay, who are supported by Sydney band Youth Group - enjoying success with their cover of Forever Young - will perform three times at the Sydney Entertainment Centre next week. The band, who formed at London's University College eight years ago, also plays the first of three shows at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena next Saturday before travelling to Adelaide and Perth the following week. The charismatic Martin - married to Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow - is also due to appear on Andrew Denton's ABC TV talkshow Enough Rope on July 3.

  19. YAY!!!!!!!! AUS IN 2ND ROUND!!!!!!! :) :) :)
  20. hey bonita, you like muse eh? i stumbled on this and wondered if youd found it yet... their new album. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZNCN1L95
  21. yeah exactly. it was fabricated to give people a reason for what they believe and to hate the government. no more or less propagandistic than the shit that is fed to us by them.
  22. i think you guys are all too caught up in the fact that you think this war should never have happened, and that the leaders are all evil. yes they might be, and all that may be the case. but what mrcool person is saying is no more or less valid than what you are saying. he seems to be defensive of his country in the same way that the rest of you are trying to attack what they do. the word of the soldier in this interview shouldnt be taken any more or less than anyone else's opinion. hes telling it how he sees it, and just because some commanders are hotheads, or some soldiers are too stupid to think about what they are doing, it doesnt mean that everyone is this way. its more shocking to hear about what soldiers do wrong then to hear what they do right, which is why it comes out like this when someone feels like saying it. if youre talking about the average soldier, id say that the average soldier doesnt want to be in iraq, questions what they are doing there, and probably wants to get home to a family that misses he/she. if this is just an average human being just like the rest of us, would you execute a boy to get an answer out of his dad? the point is, none of us have been there. we know of all the wonderful heroes we see on tv or read in the paper, which is likely to be a load of shit anyway, just like this interview. if they are both probably polarised crap, the only difference is that the interview supports what people want to believe, and what is popular to believe - that iraq should never have been 'liberated' and the leaders are evil. so get your justification for feeling that from wherever you will, but this interview is only one piece evidence.
  23. ebay isnt illegal. why is everyone so sceptical about it anyways? my dad bought billy connolly tickets off ebay, and not only was it safe and fine, the seller was so trustworthy. there's nothing wrong with it, and you will get a high price for the ticket. go to ebay, its worth it.
