Best Coldplay Lyrics Ever

"Low" is the Highlight of X & Y
Wow...this song gets better and better the more that I listen to it. It's the kind of song that sounds great listened to softly or cranked up. I prefer it cranked up...ha! I am gonna go way out on a limb and say that "Low" might be the band's best song ever....

The One I Love
Does anyone have a studio version of this song...I have the live recording. Thanks, Brian

WOW! mtve.com full streams the new Coldplay Live!
If anyone can get a direct link to either "Fix You" or "Square One" I would be psyched! Are these from the Live Leak show?

Mystery Coldplay song!
I have heard that song...think it's called "Heartbreak in the Summertime"...it kind of sounds like a song Dave Matthews or some jam band would record with the random mandolin in the backround... run, run, run, burning in the sun losing my mind heartbreak in the summer time....

Poor Reception of X&Y outside of this Forum
I was hoping this album (X & Y) would be the equivalent of what "Joshua Tree" was for U2...a radical departure from something safe...an instant classic...a perfect snapshot in tiime that captured the band at the pinnacle of their success and artistic talent. Sadly, the album (IMO) does not measure up to the expectations that I had. However, I do think the album is pretty solid...gave it a few more spins...it grew on me. I really like "Square One" , the new version of "Talk", "Message" is beautifully written, and "White Shadows"is an incredible song. However, the rest of the album is pretty contrived and formulaic...

The pledge I am making and I think others should join.
I admire you for wanting to stand up to piracy and support the band that you love. However, please understand that these days the artists are making most of their money from touring, licensing, and merchandise. If you really want to support the band...purchase a ringtone for your phone, buy a concert ticket, and put a poster of them on your wall. P2P networks are here to stay and they have provided struggling musicians with an invaluable opportunity to leverage the distribution power of the Net to reach consumers that would never have heard of them...look at the Indie music scene...it speaks to the power of P2P networking and file sharing. Peace, Brian

Til Kingdom Comes
Wow...I just heard this track on Radio One's Steve Lamacq show...it's incredible. I am BIG fan of Johnny Cash and Chris was saying in an interview with Steve that he wrote this song with Johnny Cash in mind, but Johnny Cash passed before he had the opportunity to record it... I can literally hear Johnny Cash singing it...would have been incredible! Does anyone know where I can track down this recording...this song is not going to be available on our side of the pond...from what I have been told. Any links to a download site would be GREATLY appreciated. Your friend in Cali, Brian :)

Chris Martin Cameo in Embrace Video
(from Embrace website) You know the tale by now: written by Chris Martin - made by Embrace. Although it's unfair to compare Martin's embryonic vision of the tune to that finally realised by his chums, it's fair to say that it wouldn't have come out anything like this; this resonant, rotating totally-in-love song. "It just filled a hole" said Danny about its place on Out Of Nothing, but in fact it serves as an aural brake, if anything, taking stock and a look at the stars before moving on, forward, to the job in hand. From Chris's distinctive piano intro, made warm and pliable in Mickey Dale's capable hands, "Gravity" expands to fill itself out in a way that would befit only its adoptive parents and yet still make biological father proud. Frayed expectations and furrowed brows were smoothed into smile by the second verse, feet were tapped in time to Rick's sky-kissing outro and people both sides of the Atlantic requested just one more play. A muscular yet yielding return to form, a mark of humility and statement of friendship, when Chris Martin stated that Gravity was more Embrace than he knew what to do with, he was also more right than perhaps he realised.

Chris Martin Cameo in Embrace Video
Martin originally wrote the song (Gravity) for Coldplay but as it developed it became clear to him that the song might be better suited to Embrace. As he explains, “We’ve always loved Embrace and Danny is one of my best friends. When we wrote Gravity we thought it sounded far too much like them for us, but not too much like them for them, so I asked Danny if he wanted the song and that was that.”

Chris Martin Cameo in Embrace Video
Ok...there are 2 videos...one with Chris playing piano (Gravity) and in the other one (Looking As You Are) he simply makes a cameo (a'la Alfred Hitchcock or M Night Shymalan) in the restaurant...that is not him in the studio at the end... Peace, B
