The Rise Against Thread
I would check out The Sufferer and the Witness or Revolutions Per Minute if you're just getting into them, and then go from there.

The Rise Against Thread
Savior is my favorite song off Appeal to Reason. The Sufferer and the Witness is their best cd so far. Very consistant band though.

Pearl Jam v Nirvana
Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and Nirvana were the best bands to come out of the grunge era, and I'd put them in that order.

Which song will Radiohead play at the Grammys?
Here in Boston I hear a bunch of Radiohead songs on the radio all the time. Creep, Fake Plastic Trees, High and Dry, Karma Police, Optimistic and Bodysnatchers are played regularly. I also hear Paranoid Android, Knives Out, There, There, and Go To Sleep but with less frequency.

Grammy album of the year 09 (who you want to win/who you think will win?)
I disagree, I think every album that it's up against for Best Rap Album of the Year is better. Jay-Z's American Gangster, Nas' Untitled, Lupe Fiasco's The Cool are all better, and TI's is very close in my opinion.

Grammy album of the year 09 (who you want to win/who you think will win?)
Robert Plant and Allison Krauss will most likely win. I'd love to see Radiohead win it, and I'd say they have the second best chance, but I think the Grammy voters will go with Plant and Krauss. And Lil' Wayne's Tha Carter 3 is not even close to being the best cd in genre's history. It's an entertaining cd, but that's about it. Jay-Z, Nas, Kanye West, Common, Notorious B.I.G., Lupe Fiasco, etc etc all have multiple cds that are leagues better than Lil' Wayne's.

Viva La Vida (album) won't hit number 1 in the US
The Carter 3 was a decent hip-hop cd. It was definately a lot better than I thought it would be, but it isn't nearly on the level of any of Coldplay's music, including Viva la Vida in my opinion.

Viva La Vida (album) won't hit number 1 in the US
After one-day sales it appears that Viva la Vida will debut at #1 selling around 700K copies for the week, possibly more. Source http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/newsPage.cgi?news07135m01

who else can't stand lil wayne??
He won't be number 1. Rap albums that sell near a million in their first week usually plummit in their second week to around 200-300K. Coldplay will easily beat that this week.

Track Skipping.
The only songs I would skip through are Reign of Love and The Escapist. However, I don't skip them normally because I'm hoping that I'll learn to love them more with more listens.

Viva La Vida (album) won't hit number 1 in the US
It will definately hit #1 here. The album is setting Itunes preorder records. Lil Wayne's cd came out June 10th and will be number 1 on this week's charts. After this week it's number will drop dramatically and when Coldplay is released on June 17th, it will be the highest selling cd of that week by far. I just hope it sells more in its first week than Lil Wayne did this past week, which is estimated to near 1,000,000. Unfortunately, I don't think that will happen. It will still be number 1 and I think will sell more than X&Y did in its first week.
