This argument is slightly pointless for two reasons. A) When have the grammys ever given awards to those who actually deserve it? I love the grammys and I think that they are a big symbol of popular music but at the same time its all political and incredibly predictable. B) I don't think anyone on this board thinks that either of U2's or Coldplay's latest albums are the best of thier careers. Therefore neither of them honestly deserved it but U2 deserves it over Coldplay because they have proved themselves to be a more prominent rock band. You can say all you want of how Coldplay is the greatest rock band in the world but they haven't exactly stood the test of time just yet, maybe in twenty years it will be different.
