Having already attained critical acclaim and success in Europe, Embrace is about to bring their chart topping UK disc, Out of Nothing (Lava Records) to the US to be released June 14, 2005. The British quintet, formed by brothers Danny (lead vocals & guitar) and Richard McNamara (lead guitar) at the height of the Britpop craze, was poised for massive success in the U.S. when a major record label merger left them without a stateside home.
Now the band is back and generating considerable buzz with the profoundly personal songs on Out of Nothing. The album, including the track “Gravity,” written by the band’s longtime friend, Chris Martin of Coldplay, is characterized by anthemic hooks and sweeping choruses. Embrace’s impact on the music scene here in the US is, like their songs, destined to be of epic proportions.
I absolutely love this band, but in case you think I’m being biased…Check out what the press is already saying about Out of Nothing:
"Colossal" Evening Standard
"Monumental" Q Magazine
"Stirring and Affecting" Time Out
"Embrace have written their best songs to date." The Fly
In addition, VH1 has made Embrace a “You Oughta Know” VH1 artist and “Ashes” is featured in MTV’s Hot 5 Videos.
