Guys, I have some slightly bad news... something has come up and I will not be able to finish the countdown today, though I hope to make it up to the top 50. Question: I'm not sure what to do here: there is a ten-way tie for 100th place. I wanted to do a top 100 rather than top 99 or top 109. Thought of going by which one recieved the most votes, but that would still make for a two-way tie. Anyone have any bright ideas?

With MIA, yeah I'm surprised there weren't more votes, but this is more of a favorites list than critical best of, and she is a very love it or hate it kind of artist. *shrugs* It's a pity more people hadn't heard of Keren Ann. Her album popped up on my yahoo (I have a subscription) just around the time when I was first making the list of titles, so I listened out of curiosity. It's really great.

^It is Gary Jules... he recorded it especially for the Donnie Darko soundtrack, and used it on one of his albums later. (Awesome movie, btw... the song totally gives the ending it's meaning...gave me shivers first time I saw it.) edit: Ok, after some research, Michael Andrews sometimes gets credited with the song because he wrote the rest of the movie soundtrack.
