Richard Ashcroft/Cologne/Setlist
@Kokser2000: yeah...meant jonny :P as for Kettcar, I found their lyrics pretty clever actually. I couldn't even re-construct the night's set if my life depended on it. All I know is that they opened with "Square One" and then they played "Politik"...and after that I got distracted by my singing-along

that would have kicked ass! Billy Idol was actually playing similar funk-stuff as warm up music...and Propellerheads. Random memory. Speaking of 80's songs...didn't Jon play a part of an 80's song (I believe..could have been 90's) at some point. I don't remember which song it was but they were up front. I wish it wasn't all a blur to me :(

really? well I was half asleep most of the time because the wait put me to sleep...so I only remember the funk-ish stuff. It was better stuff than at some other concerts I had gone to. They were playing some really annoying stuff. and yes, I had heard of "Kettcar" before. Only by name though. I am not a big fan of German music...and last night I certainly didn't turn into one either

what 3 bands do you like apart from the greatest - Coldplay?
well, for me the greatest band is and probably always will be Led Zeppelin. Other than that my favorites at the moment (besides Coldplay obviously) are Radiohead and SELF.

set list in hamburg / 75 minutes
really? that's crappy. I mean yeah...I understand that performing is exhausting to the ones on stage...but with those ticket prices they could at least play longer. anyway...I suppose we can consider ourselves "lucky" that we got a little bit more than Hamburg.

set list in hamburg / 75 minutes
wow, so we really did get a longer set in Köln, huh. Damn. That's so sad. I just talked to my friend who used to be in a pretty popular band and he said sometimes it's not even up to the bands how long they play but contractual. so if the venue people only want 75 or 90 minutes, that's all the band can play. How freakin sad is that? they should have cut the freakin first opener and played a longer set instead...

some people knew them, definitely. just not enough. i actually did mean the same thing as you with the coldplay music. I didn't mind the stuff they played though. Funk is fun.

haha, well "Bitter Sweet Symphony" was something mostly everyone could sing along to. Maybe people assumed putting a German band on stage at a German venue would end up having people sing along? certainly agree that they should ave played the albums instead, lol.

they definitely should have cut the first act. I spent the first hours in like a half-coma state of being. Richard Ashcroft would have been enough as a warm-up. Plus, he didn't suck

doesn't the label choose it? I didn't think they were awful but it certainly wasn't my kind of music. being the warm-up band must suck!

Ever Cry While Listening To Coldplay?
:bigcry: for sure. figured they would play a longer set since we had to wait 6 hours until they came on. actually, the fact that they didn't play "Trouble" made me wanna cry.

how many languages do you...
fluent in German, English and Polish...though I couldn't write anything in Polish even if my life depended on it, haha. Going to take up Italian next semester

Ever Cry While Listening To Coldplay?
yup...quite regulary start bawling when I listen to "Trouble". There was a phase about 3 years ago when I listened to it for hours and also cried for hours. Almost cried when they played it at a concert 2 years ago...unfortunately they didn't play it this time :(

i know a bunch of people recorded stuff in the front rows but i left my digi cam at home cuz i thought they would take them away. a decision i could kick my own butt for :( I wanted to record "Bitter Sweet Symphony" sooooo badly

I never was into Ashcroft's music...mainly because of the image The Verve had. Kinda rude and stuff. However, I was positively surprised when I saw him perform last night. Great performer. anyway, I suppose I am off-topic since I didn't post a set list. Sorry...just thought I would mention it though.
