Has anyone noticed that the end of Trouble in Town lines up perfectly with Daddy? I can’t help but wonder if they were supposed to be consecutive, I like BrokEn but maybe it’d work better after Daddy?

Jesus Christ what an album. I was worried that Arabesque would be the clear best song, but there are some serious contenders. I even love Church, which seems to be kinda polarizing. I’m picking up on a hybrid of X&Y and AHFOD that I didn’t even know that I wanted. Also, I’ve always thought Chris was an extremely underrated rhythm guitarist, but I was seriously impressed with some of his acoustic work on this album (assuming it was him and not Jonny.) There are several technical and creative riffs throughout. Plus his brilliant piano parts, as always.

Is anyone really surprised by Arabesque being the longest song on the album? At almost 6 mins in length, it is literally one of their longest songs ever... (excluding songs with hidden tracks) And for a pop-rock band, 2-4 minute songs are pretty standard. I’m just glad we’re getting a few more near-5 minute songs.
