hello everybody. I've been away for a long time. can't say whether I'm going to start posting again. It sort of happens in phases, but I just wanted to drop in and say hey. It was my birthday recently and I bought for myself a new 12" press of the Paranoid Android single. It's real pretty. And it sounds great.

Oh p.s. I was at a noisy bar the other night and Paranoid Android played on the jukebox, and even over the noise and my being extremely drunk, I was able to pick it out just because of the bassline. God I'm such a nerd.

I SAPPOSE they don't want to do too much traveling, eh? Oh well. If I went this year that'd mean Radiohead twice in the span of a year and then who knows for how long. I think it'd be too much. And yes, I'm weird like that.

A bunch of people were talking about the shoe incident, saying how random it was. But in some cultures, the bottom of the shoe is very symbolic for the highest form of disrespect. Hence the shoe thrown at Bush. So, I'm guessing it's something like that. Throwing a shoe could be the ultimate insult in some cultures.

I was in the car with my sister just now and one of those "hey this is... so and so from this one band" things came on (my favorite little public radio station) and I was telling her that YESTERDAY I heard one of those but for Coldplay (she loves Coldplay desperately). I mentioned how I don't really like that the station had come to that, it feels like selling out... Then she said "Has there been a one like 'hey, this is Thom (saying his name phonetically, H and all), this is Jonny, and the other two..." I laughed pretty hard. She doesn't quite understand Radiohead.. Sigh. But still, funny.

Where is everyone all of a sudden. Might as well make the best of it and rack up my post count in this thread. I must beat thegloaming!
