  1. all i'm hoping is that they include a lot of material from X&Y and don't put too many songs which are already lo L'03
  2. If I had the time and the money, maybe I'd go... but I don't, I'm on school, so... gonna have to wait 5 years, then maybe they'll come... BTW, Hola paisan@, yo soy de Guadalajara tmb!! qué tal la perla? la extraño... vivo en el DFectuoso
  3. Does Mexico have even a *small* chance?
  4. If I were them, I would change some songs from the first night to the second, so they have lots of songs to put on the DVD, at least more than 1 full concert, because they only play for 90 minutes on a show, and a 120 minutes fit very well on DVD. I also wish they didn't put a lot of songs that already appeared on the Live 2003 DVD. For example, that excellent and beautiful song from AROBTTH, called "Warning Sign". Obviously there will be many songs from X&Y and maybe just 1 or 2 B-Sides, 'cause to be honest, the B-Sides are not sooo great, and 1 or 2 songs that didn't appear on L'03. I wish the setlists went a little bit like this: FIRST NIGHT__________________SECOND NIGHT Square One___________________Square One Politik________________________Speed of Sound Yellow_______________________God Put a Smile... Speed of Sound________________A Rush of Blood God Put a Smile...______________Low How you see the World__________Spies X&Y_________________________White Shadows Trouble (electric)_______________Green Eyes The Scientist__________________A Message Warning Sign__________________Don't Panic 'Til Kingdom Come/Sleeping Sun_____The Hardest Part Shiver________________________Clocks Clocks________________________Talk Talk_____________________-------------------- ------------------________________What If Swallowed in the Sea___________In my Place In my Place___________________Fix You Fix You___________________-------------------- ____________________________Gravity Then, do a mix the 2 nights and get something like this: COLDPLAY - LIVE 2006: DVD 1. Square One 2. Politik 3. Yellow 4. Speed of Sound 5. God Put a Smile Upon Your Face 6. A Rush of Blood to the Head 7. How You see the World 8. Low 9. X&Y 10. Trouble 11. The Scientist 12. Warning Sign 13. White Shadows 14. Spies 15. 'Til Kingdom Come 16. Sleeping Sun 17. Green Eyes 18. Shiver 19. A Message 20. Don't Panic 21. The Hardest Part 22. Clocks 23. Talk 24. What If 25. Swallowed in the Sea 26. In My Place 27. Fix You 28. Gravity Oh my god, I would kill for that DVD... but I guess I'll never get something like that... Anyways I hope they see this and take some idea from my crazy mind and have a mix of the 2 nights in order to have many songs on DVD... ohh!!
  5. I can assure you, there's more CP fans in Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, etc. than in many US states, where they played for audiences as small as 10,000 and didn't sell-out some shows. Mexico City last time was sold out for two shows, 25,000 each, so the few-fans thing is not the reason, definitely. I understand that Chris wants to be home with GP for a long time because of the birth of the 2nd child, but Coldplay have confirmed tour dates being the US last one April 6 in Philadelphia, and the next ones until June 11 at Isle of Wight and June 23 on Australia, so they have almost all of april, the whole May and some days of June all-free, in which they easily could have visited Latin America, let's say the schedule would be like this: 3 April: Verizon Wireless Arena, Manchester, NH 4 April: Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, CT 6 April: Wachovia Center, Philadelphia, PA 10 April: Arena Monterrey, Monterrey, Mexico 13 April: Sports Palace, Mexico City 14 April: Sports Palace, Mexico City 18 April: River Plate Stadium, Bs As, Argentina 19 April: River Plate Stadium, Bs As, Argentina 22 April: Maracana Stadium, Río de Janeiro, Brazil 24 April: Morumbi Stadium, Sao Paulo, Brazil 27 April: ??, Caracas, Venezuela 29 April: ?? Santiago, Chile May 2: ??, Bogota, Colombia the venues are just what I think they'd be. any other date? look, i left a lot of days between the dates!, that way Chris would have more than 1 month (around may 4 to june 7) to be Home with GP, Apple and the not-yet-born Lemon (if it's a boy) or Strawberry (if it's a girl) [JK!], I think it'd be enough time. But again, I'm not Chris, I'm not Coldplay, I'm not their tour manager, I'm nothing but one more fan, so I can't decide if they come here, and if they don't do it, they for sure have their reasons, maybe they didn't like the idea, maybe they feel lazy, maybe they are tired because of the long tour they've been to, maybe the mexican promoters were not kind enough (either $$$ or real kindness), may be a lot of things, but there's only 1 sure thing: COLDPLAY are not coming to Mexico and/or LatAm on this tour, let's wait 3 or 4 more years, and *MAYBE* they'll think about it. Still disappointed...
  6. A tour in promotion of some album is considered a WORLD tour if the tour itself gets to reach the 5 continents in all their sections, this tour has reached Europe, Australia, a very little part of Asia and Half of America, let's say 3.5 of the 5 continents, then, is it a 'world' tour? i guess not... You can find the info about the visit to Mexico and the DVD on this interview, although it's in spanish: http://www.lahelice.com/infonoticias.php?id=7056. Also, they said the same thing about the visit and the DVD and the 'last time was great' and the '1 of the best 4 crowds over the world' phrases on an interview for Telehit (mexican music TV Channel), which I don't have on the computer at this time.
  7. I have many things to say now that I feel very disappointed with the recent decision of Coldplay definitely not coming to Mexico (and/or Latin América) on this tour. This has been confirmed on the Q&A section of the official site, here's the question with its disappointing answer: QUESTION: hi debs, someone just asked whether the band is coming to Mexico and you said "it's not possible at this time"... did you mean it's not possible today or tomorrow or will they just skip Mexico on this whole tour??? what did we do to deserve this kind of snubbing??? big bands are coming to mexico lately like U2 and the rolling stones... heck even james blunt is coming to Mexico in april!!! :( ANSWER: "not possible, today, tomorrow, next month etc....i did also say, coldplay will not make it to Mexico on this tour, it's not a snub, it's just the way it's worked out. i feel bad for you, but there is nothing anyone can do to change it, so please note i will not reply to this q further. i understand it's been a disappointment for all, but there is nothing new to say, i am truly sorry." What I can say it's that it becomes very annoying to hear Chris Martin and Johnny Buckland (but specially Chris) saying that they're coming to Mexico and Latin America on at least 3 interviews, that they will record and release the Live DVD in Mexico, that it's one of the 4 best places of the world to play (scotland, ireland, iceland and mexico), that we're the best crowd they've ever had and the tour ends without any LatAm or Mexican dates, and they still call the Twisted Logic tour a "world" tour?? come on, be realist, and be honest coldplay! you didn't want to waste a single penny and rather avoided thousands (maybe millions) of fans who were waiting for you over Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, etc. You sold out 2 shows at Sports Palace (which holds 25,000 people) in Mexico City last time you came here!! 50,000 people saw you!! and even a lot of people stood out of the venue, sadly, who wanted to see you... And now you just decide not to come, that easily... please stop calling the Twisted Logic tour a "world" tour, because it's not. MAKE TOUR FAIR!!!!! surely the people who will see you in that great leg of 3 shows in Asia is not even a quarter of how many wanted to see you in Latin America, ah, but surely you'll say "Tokyo, you are the best crowd we've ever had, and just because of that, we will play a song that we've never played before, and gonna specially dedicate it to you. This is called Clocks". Enough said, thanks for your attention. -J PS: I love coldplay and all of their songs, but I hate them being so fake and dishonest. what's your opinion?
  8. Mexican guys!! we have some luck for this!! http://www.lahelice.com/infonoticias.php?id=7056 it's in spanish, but I'll translate it for you, the about-to-be-jealous english-speaking fans ;): With their third album, X&Y, Coldplay is still on top of popularity lists, their fresh musical style is rewarded with thousands of fans all around the world. For the latest album the band members were more present on the creation-process: “Now we feel more free, we have the chance to try anything, we were under a lot of pressure doing X&Y, but I (and the other guys) think it was worth it." Worldwide recognizement and fame make them think: "For us it's like a different world in which we wanted to get in, but when you do it you realize there are some things that you wish they weren't so wonderful and some others which are a lot better." About the album title, X&Y, not everyone understands what does it mean:"It's the answer to some question for which you don't have an answer, it means a lot of things, it's anything that you want it to be." Inside Coldplay's future projects is coming to play to Mexico, as a part of their "Twisted Logic World Tour, where they will shoot a live DVD. "The Mexican Crowd is the best of the world, we will play there a lot of times and put it on a DVD, because the last time we played there we had an amazing response from the people." The band collaborated with 2 tracks for the "Help: A Day in the Life" album, which sales will be destinated to child victims of war. “We feel very proud for the song we put there, we thought about how we see the world... we're really proud, it will be a great album." In a few words, MEXICO IS SELECTED FOR THE NEXT DVD!!!! WOOOHOOO!!! ...now wait 'til they announce the mexican dates...
  9. i second this question, anyone knows anything??
  10. guess Reilly forgot us, the devoted guys who need 100 Bling.
  11. beautiful!! beautiful, girl! nice work, love the white shadows...
  12. wow!! never thought that THE HARDEST PART would make it for a single! I thought that either Swallowed in the Sea or White Shadows would be the 4th single! hmmm... the weird thing is that I have NEVER seen or heard a live performance of this song... I have heard every song live except for this one and Twisted Logic. Anyways, hope they make a good video for it, because it's one of my favorite songs off the album, but anyways I'm still surprised for that choice.
  13. so... is there any othewr winner?? (aka-BUMP post)
