Coldplay instruments
I just want to know how they get the cue's from whoever and how they all get on sync at the beginning :)

Coldplay instruments
Is that how they get their backing tracks started for each song? I'm a musician and still am baffled on how it works. Especially for songs like The Scientist and Fix You, where it's only Chris for the intro, yet Will will lean down and count in..

07-Aug-09: Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, Charlotte, NC - Tickets, Previews, Meetups, Reviews, Setli
Just got two (2) tickets in section 5 row M, not too bad! I'm hoping they schedule a stop in Atlanta as I am much closer - Not sure if I'll keep these tickets but I'll definitely post again if I let them go. I much rather see a Coldplayer get them than ebaying or craigslisting them!

Lovers In Japan Cover
Just wrapped this up - My lady friend loves this song so I decided to record it and give it to her as a Valentine's day present. I used a guitar, baritone ukulele, shaker, pan flute and cello (Garageband) Enjoy! http://rapidshare.com/files/196915331/Lovers_in_Japan.mp3.html

Painted My Acoustic..
The feedback buster is a bighelp to me. We have floor monitors at most of our gigs and with it in the soundhole, the guitar doesn't seem as "hot." Plus, they cost about $5 at your local music shop, so it's def. worth it!

Painted My Acoustic..
Novah - I did use a clear coat varnish when I was done with it. I had a big brush and just went around the body here and there to give it a shine

Painted My Acoustic..
Well, I gig with this guitar, so it has a pickup under the saddle and is all electronic. I rarely play it just straight acoustic. I also usually have the feedback buster in the soundhole as well so I am not used to it's normal sound :) I will say that last night when I was done with it (before I stuck the feedback buster back in it), I didn't see much of a difference. The tone may have been dampened a bit, but nothing that will be TOO noticeable to the outside listener

Painted My Acoustic..
So after seeing all of Chris' painted guitars - I just had to do it to one of mine. I used blue painters tape all around the body of the guitar to make sure that I was not going to do any damage to the wood. After layering and layering and layering, I gave it a basic white coat of paint and used that as my canvas. The "art' was just me going by the seat of my pants..

Chris' acoustic setup?
Steven, Thanks a ton for the response - great info! I have looked at video's and he doesn't seem to have too much hardware on the floor. I'm assuming his Boss tuner and perhaps and EQ pedal - Cheers!

Acoustic vs. Electric
I definately agree. The acoustic part was absolutely amazing and at our venue, the sounded coulnd't have been any better. I do have the audio/video of don't panic (acoustic) from Glastonbury..Let me know if you want it!

COLDPLAY ATLANTA SHOW!
I just got back to my apartment after a 2 hour drive, half of which I was still on cloud nine, the other half being the realization that the concert was over and me being sad. Words cannot describe the show tonight. The boys played amazing, the sound was perfect, chris' voice was absolutely amazing and the girls sitting around me were hot.....AMAZING..share your comments
