  1. Very nice! I love vector art, and I love your style. It looks something that I did a while back. Oddly enough I've never seen that font before, what's it called?
  2. I check out the used CD store back home pretty often, and the guy sort of noticed that I was a Coldplay fan (I bought whatever rare cd's, posters, etc. that they got, and had concert shirts on pretty often.) So he keeps anything special behind the counter for me (Japanese promos, imports, UK exclusive stuff, etc.) Same with Radiohead stuff. It's pretty cool.
  3. I'm sure there are people that would argue that. (Though it's unlikely they frequent this board.)
  4. This cover wasn't very good. But claiming that no one should be allowed to cover them is a rather elitist attitude, considering they cover several bands themselves, including The Beatles. And c'mon, "it's The Beatles!"
  5. Really? I found that poster in every poster store I've been to, and at every HMV as well. I have 2 copies, one in my dorm, and one plaqued at home.
  6. Well that would explain a lot, yeah. Maybe before professing your opinion you may want to let people know that you see things in a bit of a different light.
  7. I really think that you have a very skewed interpretation of what a cliche is. And I've sort of given up explaining how the video makes sense to people, so you can happily go on bashing it. But I can assure you that it was a success, that it was meaningful, and that it made perfect sense. To understand it you have to think. That's where you use your brain to logically piece together information so that you can draw apropriate conclusions. It isn't like The Scientist where Chris says "Going back to the start." then you see things going backwards and say "Oh boy, this is deep."
  8. What does you living in Canada have anything to do with downloading it?
  9. Coldplay is very far from a llate grunge band, and therefore doing a video that is typical of a late grunge group pretty much removes any cliche's that may come with it.
  10. Edit: I thought that you were agreeing with me, but saying that the Talk video was too not cliche. But if you're saying that Talk is a cliche video, the post below me should clear that all up.
  11. Haha, so now not only will just about everyone I know be able to say "Ooh, I love The Who! They sing that CSI theme song right!" but they'll be able to add "And I like that Coldplay band! Weren't they on that show too!"
  12. In my opinion The Scientist video looked cheap and poorly made. That and the fact that it was a little cliche. I think that Talk was definatley a step in the right direction for the band.
  13. Haha, guys it says in the article that it is not true.
  14. Thank you! :)
  15. The official forum isn't that bad. It's not that big a deal for me to visit both.
  16. Haha, if I find some spare time this week I'll write/illustrate that book.
  17. That looks awesome! Nice work.
  18. Every good outerspace B-movie needs a cheesy poster to go along with it, so I figured I'd set out to make one for Talk. Then figured I may as well just make it wallpaper sized while I was at it. Here it is: And yes, I referenced the Mars Attacks poster.
  19. Thanks guys.
  20. Haha, to each his own. (Or her.) It just bothers me to see people write it off as being stupid and meaningless. Which I think that it clearly, is not.
  21. Except I was being serious. Or do you just listen to the music because it sounds pretty?
  22. I'll tell you what. If you tell me what you think the song is about, I will tell you exactly how the video coincides.
