  1. just posted a full song vid of the scientist during the encore taken from my seat in the pit. also, my pics are posted on photobucket. i will try to post the good ones here when i get some free time.. until then, here are the links. My photos - http://s672.photobucket.com/albums/vv81/jrheinz86/ The Scientist (poor sound and shaky, but the full song) - [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqbBvPYBn9o]YouTube - Coldplay - The Scientist (Live) - Pittsburgh, PA[/ame]
  2. he didn't say anything about the illness all night. his voice sounded as good as i've ever heard and it even seemed that at some points in the show he was kind of going out of his way to show that his voice was absolutely perfect (waiting for the crowd to quiet before belting out some notes and things like that)... so hopefully the illness is a thing of the past and some very unfortunate circumstances.
  3. hey all... sorry my tweets weren't working well tonight. great performance. i hope to have some sort of review/pics tomorrow. we were in the front of the pit on guy's side of the stage. so hopefully we got some good shot for the berryman fans! goodnight!
  4. show day! so excited... i'll be trying to update my twitter throughout the day/show, so if you want to check my updates you can follow me at twitter.com/gheinz. see ya in the pit!
  5. show's just been moved up a half hour, so the howling bells will be on at 7:00 instead of 7:30, pete yorn from 7:50 to 8:30 and coldplay to come on around 9:00. the show's info message says the parking lots will open at 5:30 and the gates will open at 6:30. but that was before the start time was moved up, so i'm gonna assume those will be moved up a half hour as well. now i just gotta hope the band is well!! see you soon!
  6. speaking of getting there early and gates opening... what time are the lots gonna up on saturday? normally i'm not a big tailgater before concerts, but i have a lot of friends coming in for this and we want to get thre early for some food and drinks before the show.
  7. there were over a hundred listed on LiveNation after the ticket drop. then add whatever the scalpers had on StubHub and the likes and whatever actaul fans were able to pick up the first go round. so i'd imagine it would be a couple hundred, but with such a big stage that could mean it still only goes back a handful of rows.
  8. one more month!! i've been surprised how quiet the sales for this leg of the tour seem. i mean live nation still has over 30 pit seats open after the drop here... oh well, the people who don't buy them will be missing out on the best coldplay tour to come through the area yet. see you all in 30!
  9. I have a single for the show in Pittsburgh at Post-Gazette Pavilion on May 30 in Section 8 Row H (4 rows back from the front of the section I believe). Since Live Nation still has a lot of good seats open for this show and it's a single next to five of my friends, I'm definitely ready to take a hit haha. So make any reasonable offer and it's probably yours.
  10. chris def knows how to play to the crowd, so i wouldn't be surprised with a stillers shout out... especially since he threw out one about big ben during everything's not lost in 2005 and the guys had no idea who he was haha.. i'm definitely getting more and more excited each day! luckily kings of leon and tv on the radio are having shows here between now and then so the wait should be a bit more bearable... see you all on may 30!
  11. i posted this on the pittsburgh show thread, but i'll toss it here too since it fits in w/ the topic. i originally grabbed 6 tickets together during the presale thinking it would probably be super unlikely i'd get anything better during the general sale for that many in a row. out of curiosity i checked as the tix went to the general sale and it looked like i guessed right since the best i could come up with at noon were all 15+ rows behind what i got in the presale. since i'd heard livenation releases tickets in intervals, i checked again when i got home around 4:30 that afternoon to see where the best grouping was. when the page loaded, GA Pit tix were available and I was able to grab 6 at once. so now i'm left with 6 pavilion seats (which are actually good seats) that i'll need to sell, but i'll gladly take a hit to get me and a few first time coldplay fans together in the pit. and in my last buying experience i was able to get 2 front and center section floor seats for cleveland in the best buy presale... so i guess its not impossible to find good ones in certain presales. i guess the best way to describe the whole livenation/ticketmaster system is that it is just mostly unpredictable.
  12. i got 6 together in the front of section 8 thru the presale on thursday, since i figured it would be my safest bet to get that many close. normally i'd wait til the general sale or get them from stubhub or whatever if i was just getting 2, but since my gf and i have seen the guys live from the close seats a few times and we have 4 first timers who wanted to sit with us i thought this was the way to go. when i checked at noon today this looked like a good idea because 6 together were only available about 15 rows or more behind what we got in the presale. then, about 15 minutes ago i decided to see what was still available and was able to get 6 in the pit. so, needless to say, i now have 6 together in section 8 row H (it's actually the 4th row back from the handicap section) that i need to unload. so send me a message if you're interested i guess.. i am so excited to see the guys w/ my friends from the pit!! they definitely owe me haha
  13. and on a saturday night instead of a tuesday... even more awesome!
  14. there are quite a few hotels within a short walk to the q. in the past i've used priceline and stayed at the hyatt regency at the arcade. its a nice 3* that is a few blocks from the arena (going out of the arcade's "back" boor on euclid ave.) i've been able to get it for about $45 a night. but you should be able to get a 3* or 4* in downtown for under $70. BetterBidding.com has some good info in their Ohio topic. see you all on the 21st!
  15. I've been reading these forums and getting my dose of CP here for a while but just decided to start posting and wanted to say hey everyone here!
