March 2, 2006 - Washington, DC
I just checked out the audio clip from our concert where he sings about his birthday (on the coldplayer) and I teared up... Yeah I'm a sap. I love coldplay. It was a great show :)

Meeting Coldplay
I've read that the guys (minus Chris) hang out at music/record shops. Someone on coldplay.com ran into them at a hotel (not clear on how that happened if they go from the show to the car to the jet - do they take a jet to the hotel??) http://forums.coldplay.com/viewtopic.php?t=51329&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Chris Martin Birthday Concert - 3/2 MCI Center, Wash. DC
Really? Hmm. Maybe I should keep my floor seats. I'm in section 4 row O.

Chris Martin Birthday Concert - 3/2 MCI Center, Wash. DC
If you were 5'4, and could only get to about 5'7 with heels on, what would be your PERFECT seats for this show? I'm in section 4 a ways back (floor) and I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to see. But I can't decide what I should buy instead. The closest floor seats are outrageous in price. I could buy low lower level or high lower level - where do you think my best view would be? Thanks for any advice. I've never been to a concert at MCI. I hate being short! Laura

Washington D.C. - MCI Center: anyone ever been there?
I was sick yesterday and I forgot the official auction was ending - they didn't even sell all the MCI tix they had available. I'm kinda annoyed cause if I had spent $20-$30 more per ticket I would have been in the floor like rows 11-17, instead of section 4 row O... oh well. I seem destined to always end up with tickets inferior to what I want.

I have read floor seats aren't great for short people. I'm somewhat concerned. Truthfully I passed over some lower level seats because I thought they were "too far away" and I might have had a better view if I'd gotten them instead.. I don't know what I'm going to do. Might buy scalped tix closer to the show.

About getting the floor seats (sec 4 row O) I don't actually think my tickets are that good. But, I just got them on the computer on ticketmaster.com at 12 noon. I gave up about 4-5 pairs of tix before I was offered these. We tried the phone center ticketmaster thing and all they could offer us (at about the same time i got offered the tix I bought online) was like 400s or something.

I was wrong, my tickets aren't floor section six row O they're floor section four row O. Do you think they'll have some kind of video display?

Hey Soup - I went to that site - I think those floor seats are $310 EACH. At least that's the way I read it.. I tried to checkout to see if they'd add up the total but you have to enter your name, address, etc and I'm too lazy. I got Floor section six row O seats through ticketmaster this morning. On the one hand I feel like I should be thrilled. On the other hand I'm tempted to sell them and buy better tix from a scalper.

Hey, I've seen coldplay 3 times and I've never been in the pit. After I paid $175/each for hot seats for Nissan (I was in 101.. row .. J? I think) I realized it wasn't close enough and next time I had to be PIT. Well I went and got pregnant, stupid me, so now I'll be avoiding the PIT.. but I wanted to tell you your instinct is right, definitely go for the pit! As I understand it though, you do have to get to the venue early & "line up" if you want to be front row.

I would love to see ALL the videos :) I would save them forever to remind me of the show :)
