i must confess...... i always loved coldplay, but way back when, i was never really their biggest fan. i was 10 when parachutes came out. i was probably the only 10 year old to beg her parents for coldplay. back then though, i never admitted i liked coldplay to my friends. come on, in third grade, it was cool to like n*sync. arrobtth made me love them more, but i was still vain wanted to like the crap everyone else listened to. so i forced myself to listen to what was popular. now, i regreat not being true. i got so much more into them before x&y, thus making me the obsessed person i am today. also, at camp and everywhere else, i kinda connect with people instantly over something like that. plus, x&y is just full of memories. sure, i was the only person under 16 at the bristow sure, but whatever. sure, everyone puts me down for coldplay, but i don't care. all my friends don't really care either. they all still like pop, which i don't care for, but we respect each other. sorry this was so long. :embarrased:

hehehe. same here. my family thinks i am insane. in my global studies/international affairs course, our professor always puts on background music (usually classic), but one day, she was playing "parachutes". i was spazztic and stood up and starting screaming, "oh my gosh! coldplay's my favorite band, etc.". everyone thought i was crazy and then continued to tell me all that "coldplay is gay" b.s.

okay guys, i, at first, was very mad about this whole ashlee taking coldplay's square one (which, as you all have said, is so obvious). so, i decided, hey why not let the ashlee fans know, but not tell them about how angry we are. so here's what i said: First Lipsynching, Now Copying Coldplay?!?!?!? Okay, I am not and have never been an Ashlee fan. I laughed at her when she lipsynched. Now, I am not meaning this offensivly. I just figured I'd get that out now. Although, she's not my favorite, I respect all you Ashlee fans. But, when I heard the new song, Eyes Wide Open, I knew it sounded familiar. Then it hit me. The rythm is the exact same as Coldplay's Square 1. Coldplay is my absolute favorite band, so when I heard this, I was extremely upset. Just wanted to bring this to you all's attention. here's a reply i got: now,Wow! Its great your not like that stuped idiot I hate Barbies! Okay, so I was just wondering, does anyone know any good sites to watch music videos? I haven't seen a few of their videos in a while (like Don't Panic) and I was just wondering... By the way, I'm a newbie. I've been a fan since Parachutes, but my mum has never let me go to a Coldplay concert, seeing as how the closest one was in Orlandoand I was extremely young. Then, they were coming to Tampa, but you've all heard that turned out. So I went to the Bristow concert. Absolutely amazing. Greatest night of my life. And that's my story!
