  1. Choosing is hard. They're all so different. "Don't Panic" is poignant, direct, and hopeful. "Politik" flat out rocks (and driven by freakin' piano at that) and has one of my favorite climaxes in a Coldplay song. "Square One" (and pretty much X&Y in general) makes me feel like I'm on a cloud in the strastosphere with my headphones on. It's a flawless prelude that perfectly sets up the opus that is X&Y. But I have to pick "Don't Panic." Being consistenly reminded that "we live in a beautiful world" means a lot to me.
  2. "Twisted Logic" reminded me of The Beatles's "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" from Abbey Road the first time I heard it. Anybody else feel this way too? Am I just stating the obvious? Was that the intention? List Coldplay songs that remind you of others if you dare. I understand the hesitation.
  3. The Atlanta concert was awesome. And R.E.M. is my favorite, so I went crazy when Chris announced that Michael Stipe was the Atlanta surprise this year. Michael and Chris performing "Nightswimming" was great. I'm going to see them again in either Orlando and/or Tampa. I suggest you do the same if you really want to see them. It'll take you about 6-7 hours to get there depending, etc. I'm trying to do the presale for Orlando but really want to go to the Tampa show: I have the feeling that Coldplay will make a special effort to make this show great since it's a make-up for the one they missed this year; it's also an amphitheatre (outdoor, I believe) venue, so all seats will be great and the sound will be great. There are even general admission tickets for Tampa if you like that kind of thing. Good luck. I hope you get to see them. Their Atlanta concert this year was the best I've been to.
  4. What If. I can't get enough of it.
  5. I used to wonder why people love OK Computer so much. I love it too, but after the first 6 tracks I used to feel a little let down. OK Computer used to feel like the greatest EP ever made with five pretty good songs tacked onto it. Maybe that's why it's voted overrated. Over the years, I've grown to love OK Computer more as a whole. And "Let Down" has always and will always be one of my favorite songs. Ever. What do you think?
