Yea, its a really nice place. I kind of take it for granted because I live here, but its really, really beautiful this time of year. The weather is perfect. I know why they chose to film it here, lol. Not to brag or anything, but it really is nice, and even thought we have a pier, its not the typical pier you think about. Its not wooden or anything, but it does have some stores. I just read all your guy's posts, and they were hilarious, lol. That would be kickass if they did a video at disney world. In the "Its a small world afterall" ride, lol. Oh, and yes it is around the area of the pier and the Dali Museum. There is a yacht club right in the middle of that area, and it sounds like they filmed it there.

Hell yea. You'd be in coldplay history forever!!! You'd be immortalized.

It would have been awesome if they emailed members of coldplay.com who lived in florida, told them where to show up, and somehow incorperated the fans into the video. I always like when artists do that.

Yea, its really nice. Its a special place for me personally because thats where I had my first date with my girlfriend like 3 years ago, lol.

I wish I had pics, but I had no idea they were even in my city on friday. I thought they would still be in Washington DC, or even Orlando, because orlando was the day after they shot the video. Its weird cause Tampa is just across the bay from St Petersburg. You figure they would have made the video like on monday or something, the day after the Tampa show.

In case any of you havent heard this yet, they filmed the video last friday in the Florida city of St Petersburg. I live in st pete, and I work only blocks away from where they filmed it. If ony I knew they were there last friday. I would have tried to see them. Tour Journal: "Hardest Part" Video Shoot. "Making the Video" "Hardest Part Video Shoot" 3rdMarch,2006 The guys are making the video for "The Hardest Part" today. We arrive at the shoot early in the afternoon. The "Talk" video was shot in a grey warehouse in West London. Todays shoot, is far more glam, being located in a yacht marina in downtown St Petersburg. Its a more performance based video than the last one, but, without giving too much away, there's a pretty major twist. I spend most days in arena basements or buses, or in hotel rooms(yeah, yeah, I know boo hoo....), so I get more sunshine today than I've had in most of the last six months combined. It's surely impossible not to have your mood lifted by a good dose of sunshine and a day by the ocean, and everyones beaming. Pretty soon after we arrive, there's a surprise guest appearence in the video by one of the bands close family members (and its not who you're likely thinking either....). This is most amusing and goes very well. You'll need to be eagle eyed to catch them, but they're in there... The "twist" to the video requires some movie magic, particularly in the last shot of the day. The shoot is relying pretty much on natural daylight, so time is limited by the fact that the sun in sinking. Getting the shot wrong will make the job impossible for the effects whiz who will be creating the magic later in the week. Taking too long thought, will mean missing the shot entirely and is simply not an option. Things get tense as Avid computer loses power, the cameras and band need to position themselves precisely (and more importantly, stay there, which for the ever hyper Mr Martin proves difficult). Finally though, the shoot is wrapped. We watch the sunset over the marina and blag a ride to the hotel in one of the bands limos. Cant wait to see the finished item.

We're all waiting just like you. Keep checking back. It might take some time. Washington DC hasnt even showed up yet and that was 5 days ago.

No kate, I dont think I do. I have to check again. I was on the left side of the stage, and when chris took the phone, I dont think I could see him, so I didnt take any pics. I'll check again though.

Yea that was me who had the whole thread about the different strategies in order to get a camera, lol. It worked! Yea, it was during speed of sound, near the end of the song. I dont know why I said In my place, lol. I think for Orlando, the crowd was better, but overall I had a better time in Tampa. I was closer, and I didnt pay attention to anyone else around me really. I think if I was further back I would have noticed that a lot of people werent into it, but because I was right up front, I didnt notice.

I've got a bunch more pictures. I'll try to add more to my webshots album later today. I was in floor 3. I was in the 4th row. It was really great. I loved the yellow ballons, although I pretty much knocked down everyone around me trying to pop one.
