I hear ya. Pot is a lot different than other drugs which is why it is in a class by itself. If I heard that they were getting into heavier stuff it would disappoint me as well. I don't really have a problem with pot, though.

Hello! My name is Corey and I'm from the smallest state, Rhode Island. I'm a magician and a huge Coldplay fan. I first heard of them when The Scientist became huge and I bought A Rush of Blood in April of this year. I've been hooked ever since. Coldplay has easily become my favorite band. Their music makes me think in ways that I never have, and makes me feel unlike any other music I've ever listened to. It's hard to explain really.. but you are all Coldplay fans so I'm sure you know the feeling! Just to state a quick opinion, I believe Parachutes to be their best album and would love to hear another album with the same type of sound as Parachutes. A Rush and X&Y are great, too, but Parachutes is unbelievable. Thanks for looking!

Parachutes for it's short length, but not a big fan of A Whisper either. And even though I know I'm going to get shit on for this... I'm really not a big fan of Politik at all. I don't hate any of their songs, but Politik is probably my least favorite. Before the bashing begins.. LOL This is an OPINIONATED question..

Coldplay makes music that really makes you think about stuff while listening. That said, I've never cried during a movie or for any other song, but the Scientist had me in tears once. A couple of other song have put me close to the crying point as well.

I'm sorry, but pot isn't really a drug. It's actually an herb. The laws surrounding it are being lowered every day. To call someone a drug addict because they smoke pot is ridiculous. Not only does it help a person be creative but there are many medical benefits resulting from it's use. I doubt that Chris smokes, but even if he does, who cares? He's obviously proven himself to be an amazing artist and if smoking helps him with his music, than by all means smoke away Chris! To make a long story short, don't be disappointed because Coldplay likes to smoke a joint here and there. It's really not a big deal. If they started doing heavy drugs, than there's a reason to be disappointed.
