you misunderstood me... i'd ask her if she was going to come with me and she said she didn't have the money...this afternoon she told me there was a 99% chance SHE was going to the show but it's ok, i've accepted it.

thanks for your support, i hope so too. the funny thing is that i was chatting with a friend and she told me there was a 99% chance she was going to the show with me because she'd found the money to pay for the tickets :lol: :bigcry: i'm still waiting for my grandpa

absolutely agree with you that's why it's so necesary to continue all the education projects that have started a little show'n'tell at school could save a lot of people talking in my own experience, I had a sexual education class at school when I was 11 and it helped a lot. When i was a freshmen in highschool (i was 12 or 13) the class tutor showed everyone how to use a condom, and probably not many of us knew it. Now there's a huge debate here,because there's a lot of people who want to establish regular sexual education classes in public schools. I totally agree with it, all kids shoud have the basic knowledge about their own bodies, so there shoud be clases for every grade (adapting the contents for each).

I think there's a bunch of reasons for the spreading of the disease, and the church is one of them (not the biggest one,but it is one). There are billions of catholics or christians that follow everything the church says, so if tha vatican rejects condoms, all those people will do the same thing. I'm not against abstinence, but a strong mind and will to do it, and most people don't have them and like having sex.

i'm still waiting for my grandpa's answer to that very inspired email i sent him... gladly there are tickets left (not for long,so i'm keeping my fingers crossed)

I'm back I think that the lack of information is from both sides, I mean, there are people who'd never touch an HIV/AIDS infected person to not get infected themselves, but now there are many many people thinking AIDS can be cured with the AZT coctail, so they don't care about protecting themselves or their partners. And of course,those who don't get access to the right information and end up infecting a lot of people besides them. It makes me really sad. Ren is absolutely right, comunication is the key. Sometimes I'm amazed by kids my own age that don't realize what a danger having unprotected sex represents, that's when I'm grateful to my parents for having such an open relationship with me and make me so well informed (either giving the info themselves or giving me a mind of my own to look it up myself)

i had to do a paper for school about stds and i learnt a lot of stuff about it. Besides being a really important subjet for evreybody to talk about, it's really interesting.

that happens because by using an infected needle you're injecting any viral load into your body...still,almost no one gets infected by doing it one time (not that i'm defending it). in an infected person every fluid carries the virus,but depending in the viral load it can be contagious or not (for example, kissing someone infected with HIV/AIDS can't infect,because the virus in saliva is not enough)

dancing is great, i think it releases endorfins or something that makes you feel good.....even if that weren't the case i'm still gonna do it 'cos i loooove to dance

It's a shame that people don't discuss such a serious matter as HIV/AIDS, it is because of that lack of debate or information that more people get infected.

yeah,well,but if people want to have sex you can't stop them, so it's better that they're well informed. I read about it somewhere,condoms have a 1% chance of 'malfunction', but still, the posibilities of getting aids using a condom are extremely low because the amount of virus in the fluids that could be exchanged is not enough to infect...i think

i've never read a thread about it and i thought i would be a good idea It's one of the biggest problems in the world right now,sadly,because it's easy to prevent. A little piece of latex and sterile syringes would save an incredible amount of people, and still there isn't conscience around to use them. It makes me sad.
