2-Aug-2009: Coldplay Headlining All Points West Music & Arts Festival, New Jersey
I was standing right under the butterfly confetti guns when they went off during Lovers in Japan. Here is a video of the confetti coming down on us. Since the audio on my camera isn't that good, I put the actual track under it and matched up whet they were playing with that point in the song. Really cool to be under there. Also, I have a few links to some pics as well Lovers In Japan (video) - [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZENfHjGSc8M]YouTube - Coldplay - Lovers In Japan (Live at All Points West)[/ame] Fight for your Right (video)- [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIyrxTrzslo]YouTube - Coldplay - "Fight for your Right" (Beatie Boys Cover) Live at All Points West[/ame] Bilie Jean (video) - [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaNfgQxAAb0]YouTube - Coldplay - "Billie Jean" (Michael Jackson Cover) Live at All Points West[/ame] Pictures - http://mobile.nyhoosier.com/pics-coldplay-at-all-points-west-2-of-2

Viva la Hova // pg6 - REMASTERED! (As of 24 Sept 2010) | Coldplaying.com Talks exclusively to Produc
Exclusive Coldplaying.com interview -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I just saw this over at XXL.com and thought I'd share: The Jay-Z/Coldplay Mash-Up Project Viva La Hova Is Almost Here You’re probably scratching your heads. What is Viva La Hova? Basically, it’s a Jay-Z/Coldplay mash-up/remix project put together by Mick Boogie and Terry Urban. I’ll let Mick tell it: It’s no secret Shawn Carter and Chris Martin have been friends and collaborators in recent years, most recently on Jay’s “Beach Chair” and Kanye West’s “Homecoming.” But it was their first actual Coldplay collabo… the recently released “Lost!” remix that inspired this project to come to fruition. In addition to self-producing a few tracks ourselves, we reached out to some of our favorite producers in the game… from Jay-Z’s collaborator 9th Wonder, The Kickdrums (50 Cent, TI) and Cookin’ Soul (The Game, Dipset) to up and comers like 6th Sense, nVMe and Garbs Infinite [ed note: and Gooch] After assigning all the producers samples and snippets that we felt fit their musical talents, we began the process of assembling as many Jay-Z vocal tracks as we could find. As the submissions came back, one by one, we decided which Jay-Z verse would fit this particular interpretation of Coldplay’s sounds. As we began piecing together the correct verses to match the correct beats, it became clear how truly amazing this project really is. This is what real music is supposed to sound like. The lyrical elegance of Shawn Carter, the vocal magic of Chris Martin, the finely tuned instruments of Coldplay, the creative visions by our team of producers, and lastly, our analysis of which Jay verse best fit each track. If you love Jay-Z and you’re not into Coldplay, this is for you. If you love Coldplay, but don’t mess with hip-hop, this is for you. If you love all good music, this is definitely for you. When Mick hit me with the concept of the project, it was a must that I get down. I had a lot of fun working with the Jay vocals, as I’m sure everyone involved did, but for me it was because I’ve never actually messed with the whole remixing Jay-Z thing. And Coldplay, what can you really say about them? They’ve got so many tunes that are reworkable in a hip-hop context. So it was dope. I think folks will really appreciate and vibe with this project. Keep checking http://www.VivaLaHova.com, it’ll be available for free download there in a few days. *** With real producers working on this, it might actually sound good. I know most mash-ups suck, but that's because they are made either in GarageBand or by amateurs. With real producers, this could be interesting.

Coldplay Back in New York Baby!!!! (Win tickets to exclusive Yahoo show)
The email invite said specifically: no cameras, cell phones, or any other electronic or recording device. I wanted to make sure I got in so I didn't bring my iPhone, but the guy next to me did and was nice enough to email me a few pics which you can see here (they are the first 3): http://www.flickr.com/photos/melfi/ As for the questions: Q1) When did you guys first realize you were famous and what was that like? Chris: I don't like that word famous. Will, why don't you tell them your Grammy story? Will: At our first Grammy's, Guy and I were hanging out early when this woman, I think she was a fashion designer or something, asked us for a picture. So we took the picture and after she asked us, "So did you bring the food?" So we were pizza boys for the night. Q2) What was your strangest culinary experience while on Tour? Everyone in the band: What? Will: I guess it would be while we were in Japan at a service station. There was a bag of dried insects there. I didn't try them, but that was pretty strange. Q3) While you were recording Viva La Vida, when did you realize you were on the right track? Chris: We didn't. Question Person: Anyone else? Jon: When you're recording, you finish the songs months before anyone else listens to it. So you don't know how people will respond and you're always doubting yourself until you get in front of a crowd like this. Chris: I will say that when we did "Viva La Vida", our hit single, I knew that was good. To this day I will tell you that I think that is a great song. Q4) This questions is to everyone, what are you listening to right now on your iPod. (I can't remember who answer what so I'll just give yo all the stuff they said) Arcade Fire - Funeral (whole album) Wings - Live and Let Die Santogold Duffy Both new Beyonce singles (That was Chris) I can't remember the other questions, but some one did ask Chris what his football team was back home. I don't remember the answer, but there were quite a few Brits in the crowd who heckled his response with their favorite teams. Chris asked what the crowd's favorite team was and people were yelling Chelsea, Liverpool, and then a New Yorker yelled "The Yankees." All in all it was an amazing show.

Coldplay Back in New York Baby!!!! (Win tickets to exclusive Yahoo show)
Awesome show. I got in line at 2pm this afternoon and was front row, dead center for the show. It will be posted on Yahoo! on 12.1.08. Great set. Chris, as always, was pretty funny. He wasn't sure if he was allowed to curse, so he did it anyway. I think the reason why the crowd was mellow was because at the very beginning, they made the crowd fake cheer so they could have shots of us to use. The Yahoo guy told the crowd not to sing because the extra shots would be used during other songs and if you sang, your mouth would not match up. I think some people thought he meant that for the whole show (like the guys standing next to me). Anyway, great show.

In The Sun --Studio with Chris?
you can find it on itune now. they also have a remix of the song by will.i.am of the black eyed peas and justin timberlake. don't worry it's still just chris and michael, no jt or will singing on it, just a little different feel to the song.
