  1. Don't worry, they will fill in with more dates. They aren't spending millions on staging and routing to do only a 21 date tour, and there's still a lot of gaps in that schedule.
  2. It sure was, Christa! I actually think my wife was seated right behind you. I think i saw your name on the chair and said "If this Christa doesn't show up, you can move into the front row." LOL I'll try to get some of her photos up here in the next day or two.
  3. Great review by Christa. I just wanted to add a few things that happened off air, as i was one of the lucky 20 to be inside of the fishbowl asking questions. - Every time they played a song during the break, Chris asked for the speakers to be turned off, and even got up to turn one off himself when someone left it on a bit. He said that he hates to hear himself sing, as it gives him the "my voice sure sounds funny on voicemail" effect. - Chris was very interactive with us during the commercial breaks, asking what people did for a living, etc. One guy sold some kind of facial implant for plastic surgery and Chris joked that he would buy one, just for his right side, and then he could do his own "before & after" demonstration for the product. Another funny thing was when Chris asked "what are you guys doing after this show?". One girl said she was going to Hugh Jackman's one-man Broadway show, and Will cracked us up when he asked if Hugh would be dressed as Wolverine while he sang show tunes. - People asked Chris about his Howard Stern appearance and he jokingly cursed about the grilling that he got. He commented that Robin is really the evil one, as she sets Howard up to ask the tough questions. I asked Chris if he knew what he was getting into with Howard and he said that there were 3 things he told his manager they wanted to do if they ever hit it big: 1) Get their voices on The Simpsons, 2) Get on Howard's show, and 3) Chris and their manager couldn't totally remember, but he thinks the third was playing at the Super Bowl. He joked that he never imagined it would be easier to get on The Simpsons than on Howard's show. All in all, just an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience and the guys could not have been more genuine or charming. -Dave
  4. First off, i was disappointed that we didn't get a few more songs, but i don't think it's fair to say there was no encore. They way i look at it, everything after Scientist was an encore, we just didn't get a 2nd encore. I was fully prepared for that after reading the thread on the last Toronto show, so i can't complain. Also, i didn't interpret the early ending of Hardest Part and Chris' comments the way that some others seemed to. I just thought he got bored with it and/or didn't like the way it was going in his mind and moved on. I didn't take it as a slap at the crowd for being disinterested (and he apparently did the same thing in DC last night). I really love the way the new songs come off live, so i didn't mind not hearing some of their earlier hits in the slightest. I thought it was an amazing show and i keep thinking back to all of the great moments. Nothing quite like when a band and the crowd are connected and practically playing the song together (Viva, Yellow, etc.). The ticket said no cameras, but i knew we were close to the side stage so i brought in a crappy disposable in case the security was feeling obnoxious. At least i got a few fuzzy mementos for my g/f to remember her first Coldplay show by. LOL
  5. Can't wait. I didn't expect them until the fall, at the earliest, so it's great that we only have weeks to go. I'd love to hear them play Gravity.
  6. Definitely in for Hartford and maybe Boston. I thought their show at Mohegan Sun was incredible last tour. Agreed that I'd prefer The Meadows over the XL Center.
  7. Just speculating, but i think that Ticketmaster may have accidentally copied code showing the Poptarts presale from another Hartford show, the American Idol tour (gag). That is the only music show that i have ever seen Poptarts involved with and the times and dates of the presales match that of American Idol. Not sure about the AEG/venue presale. I usually get mailings from the venue on presales and have not heard anything.
