  1. I think the spaghetti comment was probably in the heat of the moment, before a passionate and likely irate Australian crowd. Don't think any italians in the audience would have appreciated it though - more comments like this might unfortunately get him in trouble. Luckily they don't have any more concerts in Italy on this tour ... and in 3 years' time when they do return, all will be forgotten!
  2. Hey, that's fantastic! Congratulations... it will be a memorable gig now~!
  3. Further tickets have been released for the concert as the promoters realised that they didn't need so much space for the stage or sides of the stage. So yesterday I checked www.hkticketing.com and found FRONT ROW CENTRE tickets (Yes, Block A, Seat 22, Row A). I didn't buy them since I already have mine (Which are of course worse than these). So there can be no complaints now if you have not bought your ticket!!! ;)
  4. HONG KONG 2nd ROW TICKETS AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW!! People without tickets... I just checked and I had to take a double-take. There are Block A, Row B tickets up for sale... THAT IS 2nd ROW from the stage!!!! HURRY UP. THese are even better than mine!:\
  5. Doubt this is true - Liam Gallagher hates Gwyneth and Chris - so why would he come to them when he is a bit vulnerable? Not Liam's style.
  6. wish u the best of luck!!
  7. It will be v difficult to meet the band on the 'street' since security will be v tight for them. There are one or two nightclubs that bands ALWAYS visit when they come to HK. Dragon-I and Kee Club. Since Coldplay are playing here on a Thursday night, I am willing to bet that they will be at Dragon-I on Wednesday night July 12th particularly since it is models night as well! (You can thank me after you meet them!). Kee Club probably also Wednesday night and possibly Tuesday night as well. Then a couple of restaurants in HK - Felix at the Peninsula hotel is a must visit venue for top guests. Probably a good chinese restaurant as well.
  8. ha ha... i did not see Radiohead in HK, but I saw them in 1994 when I was studying in London - I will never forget that concert - in a very small venue (Shepherd's Bush Empire). They became really big after that. Yeah I hope they come to HK on this tour as well. I will definitely go as well!
  9. i hate my job i love my new car it's raining again. sigh. no holidays for 9 more months coldplay will have come and gone one month from now (hong kong)!
  10. I was waiting for Coldplay for 6 years, but they're finally coming to Hong Kong. So NZ and Indonesia next tour - no doubt!!!
  11. Can also get Block B tix right now!!!
  12. Yeah, it's really strange. ALL 3 SECTIONS have opened up again (780, 580 and 380). And $780 seats are quite good as well (first few rows on side from the stage). I don't know what is happening, but these are probably returns from sponsors that have not taken up the seats allotted to them. Good news for those that still haven't decided.
  13. For those of you that still don't have tix, some amazing BLOCK 2 tickets have opened up. $780, but can get Row A at the moment... I think these are the ones that were blocked for the VIP section, but there were no takers so they have now released the seats. So you now have a chance to get primo Coldplay seats for the same price as guys a few sections behind you paid.
  14. It depends whether you have been to Hk or Japan before. Pros for HK: Venue is v close to the airport so you will be able to catch your flight Can get better seats here than Japan (most likely) Should be a unique show since the band have never played here before Pros for Japan: 2 shows - always better than 1 Last shows of the tour so should be special Japanese food is the best in the world! Flip a coin!
  15. Hey is anyone going for the VIP tickets (incl. dinner)? Contrary to popular belief, this does not mean that you get to meet the band - but does give you some good seats in $780 section which are otherwise sold out (except for side view). The meal however is questionable. Check it out: http://www.hkticketing.com/ticketek/images/Coldplay%20VIP%20Package.pdf
  16. Most popular artist here? Difficult to say. Mainstream, probably U2, Madonna or Sting (someone like that) who have a broad following. Alternative type - probably Coldplay (judging by the sales of tickets for their concert). Depeche Mode is v popular here as well. There is no brainwashing here - I have lived in HK for most of my life but can't tell you the name of 5 canto pop songs. I just stick to the music I like - HMV sells it, Internet radio plays it and all my friends listen to it, so not a problem at all. Besides, we get alot of European music shows on Channel V, MTV to keep us up to date! Moving to HK, yes, you may see less bands in concert, but the cultural aspect and the close proximity to the rest of Asia should make up for it. (God, I sound like I work at the HK Tourism Board!!!)
  17. It is impossible for them to go everywhere. This tour they overplayed the US, but are also coming to new places like Hong Kong. Last tour they went to South America and missed out on Asia, except Bangkok and Fuji Festival. They have never played in South Africa, Middle East, India, China, Korea... many others. So just be grateful that you have seen them. They have been around for 6-7 years now, but I am seeing them for the first time in July. I don't care if it is planned or the setlist is the same...
  18. Airport is a 2 minute ride on the Airport Express (train). You should make your flight in plenty of time. And yes, there are tickets left, but only side view now.
  19. Those of you that have not bought tickets, they are on the verge of selling out. There are only a few pairs left in the $780 (side stage view) and $580 categories. And only singles left for $380. If you don't want to miss out on what is going to be THE CONCERT OF 2006, get those tickets now!!!! www.hkticketing.com
  20. On Q&A in coldplay.com someone asked the same question - the answer is that there is no support band for Sing or Hong Kong.
  21. Alright, able to get 2 GA tickets. Thanks, Kavitha, I managed to finally get on the website. Phew! Not sure if I can go in the end, but hey, at least now i have a choice!!! Come on!!!!!!
  22. Thanks. Let me try!
