  1. I'm definitely going although by myself :( Don't really mind as I will be pushing to the front of the stage!!
  2. There do not seem to be any plans to play in Malaysia at the moment (as previously forecasted), but they are going to Singapore on 23rd March and then to Abu Dhabi after HK on 28 March...
  3. Hong Kong show ANNOUNCED Ok, Hong Kong people in the house, Coldplay is COMING!!!! Yes, the date is March 25th 2009 Venue: Asiaworld Arena (where they played last tour) Prices: $980, $780 and $480 Tickets go on sale next Tuesday (February 17th) on HK Ticketing and Tom Lee Outlets. GOOD NEWS :laugh3:
  4. Well, the chances of Coldplay playing in SE Asia before they go to Australia is almost zero now since they are flying back to the UK after Japan for a gig on the 18th Feb http://www.warchild.org.uk/ So only chance is after New Zealand - 21st March seems to be a valid rumour since they are finishing on the 19th March in Auckland. I think they will play in Singapore as well. For Hong Kong, well, need to keep fingers crossed... YIKES:\
  5. Does anyone have any info about Coldplay's tour between 15 Feb and 27 Feb 2009 (between Japan and Australia dates). I presume they will be playing in SE Asia en route to Oz but anyone know where and when? Hoping Hong Kong is on the ticket...;)
  6. I doubt they will follow the Twisted Logic setlist - this is a new stage for them now, and they will definitely mix it up - I think they will start with something not opened with before. Don't count on songs like Square One/ Talk/ White Shadows/ Clocks even being played. I think it will be an Unplugged set which will be released on CD/DVD... Ok I'm dreaming a bit as well!!!
  7. Where did you get this information from? Everything points to a late October 2006 release of a live Tour DVD. Since the ACC shows were taped (and there was huge publicity about it with people being given DVD cameras etc) there is a strong chance that these are the shows that will feature in the DVD. Must be the only explanation.
  8. What's everyone on about? There IS a DVD coming... just not of the Toronto gig in May 2005 whcih was at a club for their promo tour, but of the Toronto ACC gig in 2006 which was over 2 nights towards the end of the Twisted Logic Tour. So don't worry, a DVD of their Toronto show is on its way (just not the gig from the link posted above!)

There have been photos of the Earl's court shows posted on a previous thread.

if true, great news for you. but v v unlikely!
  11. Point well made, but not sure if you are totally correct about people flying out to Hong Kong to see the show - there are quite a large number of expatriates living and working in HK already. That is why the view of the person who started this thread is even more strange seeing that these are HK people (albeit not chinese) who have come to these shows.
  12. i've only seen them once, in Hong kong a few weeks ago. I have to agree that the intro (with the digital numbers in the background) gave me goosebumps - don't know why but I suppose all that anticipation over so many years finally letting go... I had not read any reviews about any coldplay concerts on this tour so it was a real suprise and treat to see this (although I had heard the audio of a slew of shows) Another one is when Chris twirls that lamp in Fix You... then the crash when he releases. I saw the clip from the Glastonbury show last yr... unreal.
  13. "For 2 months they'll put me away Cos I took some photos in the toilet in Deep Water Bay" and later... "They'll send me away for week Cos I took a photo in a toilet on the Peak" - Til Kingdom Come, Hong Kong, July 13, 2006. Chris referring to a sign posted in the toilet in Deep Water Bay in Hong Kong prohibiting filming and photo taking which he found amusing.
  14. And I always that it was "You're skin and bones... turned into something beautiful". Sort of like an ugly duckling thing. People who are emaciated or too thin are always referred to as 'skin and bones'.
  15. Well, they have certainly improved from Parachutes. I thought the lyrics in X&Y were phenomenal compared to their v early stuff, which wasn't all that bad either.;)
  16. 4/10 (and did I read correctly that some guy above has never heard of seinfeld????) Arrested Development
  17. hilarious stuff... but i agree, doesn't look THAT ridiculous :laugh3:
  18. There are 2 different versions of How You see the World. I think one was a b-side or demo. Then the 2nd one, which they sing, was on the HELP 2 album (something like that).
  19. i'll tell you one thing - this view is very typical of Hong Kong as well. Not those chinese who have had some exposure overseas (lived or studied or studied at english/international schools), but the local local chinese who harbour very ethnocentric views. Did you read the amount of reviews coming out of here? I had to tell someone off for the same thing (see an earlier post of mine). The fact is, if it wasn't for us "foreigners" the arena would have been 1/4 full! I just think, with Hong Kong being so international and multi-cultural (which is different to japan), these views should not be coming out at all. So what if there are other non-chinese in the audience? It should be celebrated rather than criticised. Yeah is a pity.
  20. + More in synch with chorus at the end - Can easily tell it is not as refined as the final version Cant get you out of my Head (Live at Glasto 2005)
  21. And I love Weird Science as well.... the most classic lines from a teen movie ever!! "Give me a scotch... straight up?... ahh give me the whole bottle... tell you what, you bend over and I'll shove it straight up your ass... on the rocks is fine!... ha ha that's what I thought you'd say" Ha ha ha ha.......
