Oh it's the same in America. There are many parades, and many homosexuals showing their pride (not in the 'making out in the middle of the street' kind of pride). It's pretty open here. However there's always the conservatives and the religious catholics, just like you said. It's just a matter of what kind of people that are around you. Like where I'm from, many people don't tolerate homosexuals. But in other places, they are open about everything. So...it's a pretty mixed subject...
