Ive never really thought about sedative lyrics but it would be nice if they were. I reckon that peter and carl will have reunion soon cause i think that Peter will want to be meeting up with him jus cause hes sorting his life out like hes off the drugs hes made up with his dad again and ive noticed that at every babyshambles gig lately hes worn carls necklace and that he was gunna go up and watch DPT gig so i hope they do have some sort of reunion soon.

I thnk that deadwood and BBYD is about Peter to i always have. Do you think that Peter writes about Carl cause i think that in some songs he does but he does it more secretly like just little things he puts in his songs so nobody really realises it or thinks twice about it.

Pete Doherty plays gig in a car park Babyshambles launch fashion line with lunch time show Babyshambles played a lunchtime gig in the car park of London department store Selfridges today (December 7). Kicking off at 1.50, Pete Doherty and his band played a four-song set to mark the launch of Manchester fashion label Gio-Goi new range, which was inspired by the singer. With fans urged to get to the seventh floor car park for “12.30pm sharp”, some feared the singer would not make the show, and a significant minority drifted off during the long wait. However when he did finally take the stage Doherty made fun of his reputation asking the crowd “Where have you been?, I’ve been in the stationary department on my own for the last hour-and-a half." Despite then promising the crowd a three-song set, Babyshambles then powered through four tracks for the assembled fans. They played: ‘The Blinding’ ‘Killamangiro’ ‘Delivery’ ‘Albion’ Babyshambles are now set to play a full gig at the Hammersmith Apollo tonight.

Once again the Bristol dates blows the roof off, i think its one of his favourite places to play. the gig started with is mum introducing the band then shambles kick it off with pipe down. these are all i can remember and in a slight random order pipe down baddies boogie?? (zombie) arcady albion the blinding beg steal or borrow faith/horror show sedative (pete stopped half way through the song to split up a fight in the crowd) time for heroes killamangiro delivery what a waster carry on up the morning back from the dead janie jones unstookietitled unstookietitled fuck forever then a long break. i dont actually think they were going to come back on but no one was leaving even after the lights came on and everyone wouldnt stop cheering, after about 10 mins they finally came back. crumb begging badhead probably the best performance ive seen from pete. he had the whole audience in stiches on quite a few occasions, being a real gent. he was also outside the back of the venue straight away taking pictures with fans and signing autographs for 5/10 mins until the security had enough and ordered him back inside. gotta mention the holloways for a good performance too.

Biljetterna till festivalen släpps den 8 december I have no idea what this says but someone said that theyre gunna play a festival in sweden. You could go and see them tea

Another good review which i found on thelibertines.org.uk Doherty’s energy still gives him the edge Last Updated: 12:01am GMT 06/12/2006 Andrew Perry reviews the Babyshambles at Newcastle Academy and Dirty Pretty Things at the Brixton Academy It was a big day for Pete Doherty. In the morning, he again escaped imprisonment at his umpteenth trial for drug possession, just as his band Babyshambles’ first EP since signing with EMI was hitting the shops. Then, that evening in Newcastle, he kicked off a tour that had been delayed for two months because of his ongoing rehabilitation. At the end of a year in which Doherty’s pursuit of celebrity, Kate Moss and narcotic oblivion have eclipsed his contributions as a musician, there’s a growing feeling that it’s about time he did something of substance. After last year’s patchy Babyshambles album, it often feels as if his reputation rests on the Libertines, his first band, which disintegrated two years ago. Though hardly monastic in his lifestyle, Carl Barât, Doherty’s erstwhile partner in the Libertines, has enjoyed a contrastingly solid 2006 with his new ensemble, Dirty Pretty Things. Barât brought a studiedly druggy rock-and-roll chic to the Brixton stage, sporting a grubby white vest, a pork-pie hat and a white garter around his right bicep. His performance, though, was focused. In a well-organised set, new songs were artfully balanced against material from the band’s album, Waterloo to Anywhere, winding up with their hit Bang Bang You’re Dead and a proficient encore of the Jam’s In the City. The following night in Newcastle, Doherty also appeared to have sharpened up his act - at least, by his wobbly standards. To huge applause from the audience, he thanked that morning’s JP for affording him “justice” and launched into a brisk rendition of The Blinding, the new EP’s lead track. It was a mark of Doherty’s descent that, until recently, he had given up playing the guitar in his band. His propensity for nodding off mid-song was pretty embarrassing, too. Happily, he has corrected those tendencies. His performance was propelled by a lurching, haphazard energy, which gave his music a distinct edge over Barât’s rather workmanlike indie rock. A couple of times, Doherty led off into a sequence of obscure and rather subdued repertoire, only to career back with mass singalongs for Albion, F*** Forever and Killamangiro. Doherty’s peculiar brand of chaos prevailed even after Babyshambles’ set was over. The house lights went up to persistent booing. Eventually, the band reappeared, with an ace up their sleeve - a cover version of the Stone Roses’ I Wanna Be Adored, delivered with a conviction that proved that Doherty is now set on winning public affection through his music alone. Theres only a couple of sentences about DPT, which make me wonder whether they were there at all.

Babyshambles, Carling Academy, Newcastle, Top Review in The Independent, 6 December 2006 Category: Music by Nick Hasted Morning breaks for Pete Dohery with the news of anothr court fine for the drug use that has delayed tis latest UK tour. The fans are rewarded with a show that turns back time, stripping away the talboid infamy, the Kate Moss soap opera and the self-destruction, to reveal the Doherty who, with The Libertines, inspired a generation of musicians. You can see the difference as soon as Doherty walks on, bang on time and soberly suited. This tour was delayed to give him more time to deal with his addiciton, and the drifitng zombie of some previous gigs is gone. Instead, after a wry word of thanks fo 'justice' in his latest court cameo, it's straight into "The Blinding", which, with "Pipedown", forms an explosive opening, a statement of intent from Doherty the fit, focussed bandleader. Conducting the drummer Adam Ficek and tossing his titfer into the crowd, he is all whirling stick-insect limbs. It is only with the new "Sedative" that the murmuring, instropective Pete reappears, for a song that seems to see his notorious life from the outside "He was my hero" he sings sadly "What's he like now?" Whe a Union flag apears from somewhere, Doherty slips in a heartfelt snippet of "The White Cliffs of Dover", then begins his own English anthem, "Albion". Its ist of place names also allows Doherty to list half the towns in the Northeast; though Sunderland's mention goes down lie the Titanic, it puts every place he visit at Albion's heart "There She Goes" and "Beg Steal or Borrow" are among the new songs that address Doherty's recent travails As he lines up with new guitarist Mick Whitnall and bassist Drew McConnell, Babyshambles seem more than every a going concern. When they don't have to cover for Doherty, they are a tight, relentless rock unit bult on ferocious guitars and whip crack drums. Yet is The Libertines' "Time for Heroes" that recalls Doherty's early, romantic promise. "I chersih you myl ove" he bawls, perhaps to his old band - and soulmate Carl Barat. The song gives off a feeling of community regained. A possibly ironic cover the Stone Roses "I Wanna Be Adored", then old single "Killimangro" bring what' s left of the house down. Then "Can't Stand Me Now" the Libertines song about their drug fuelled dissolution, finishes things. Its sentiment - "It's the worst it can possibly be" - is for tonight, at least, turned inside out, into an affirmaiton of possible, fragile, better days ahead- The Libertines, Babyshambles, Dirty Pretty Things, Yeti Etc.
His lawyer said he had a downfall and i think he was reffering to this- The Libertines, Babyshambles, Dirty Pretty Things, Yeti Etc.
Pete in death plunge probe By SEAN HAMILTON and MIKE SULLIVAN December 06, 2006 ROCK wildman Pete Doherty had a blazing row that “became physical” with an actor who fell to his death from a balcony shortly afterwards. The ruck with Mark Blanco, 30, flared at a party in a grotty East London flat. Babyshambles singer Doherty, 27, disappeared from the flat owned by his pal Paul Roundhill before cops arrived — and CARRIED ON partying elsewhere. The tragedy happened early on Sunday — the day before junkie Doherty was fined £770 for possessing drugs. There is no suggestion Doherty was involved in Blanco’s death. A source said: “Blanco arrived at Paul’s a little drunk. He and Pete started to niggle each other. Mark Blanco ... actor fell from balcony, circled inset, after row with Doherty “It turned into a full blown argument, with insults being thrown on both sides. The argument got physical and Roundhill stepped in to break it up. He then asked Blanco to leave. “A few minutes later some lads came rushing up to say there was a man lying in the street.” Blanco, a 6ft 4in amateur actor and IT worker, was found outside the Whitechapel flat at 1am. He was rushed to hospital, where he died yesterday morning. Cops are treating his death as “unexplained” and plan to quiz Kate Moss’s boyfriend Doherty. A police source said: “He fell from a second floor balcony but at this stage we don’t believe anyone else was involved. However, statements are being taken from people in the flat.” Doherty left the party and went to the Malmaison hotel in Clerkenwell, where staff called police at 2.25am on Sunday. The star had again left the scene before officers arrived. A hotel spokesman said: “There is evidence he took drugs, the carpet’s wrecked, there are smashed up bottles everywhere and the place is covered in blood.” Blanco had the lead role in a play The Accidental Death Of An Anarchist next week :stunned:- The Libertines, Babyshambles, Dirty Pretty Things, Yeti Etc.
