tba he entitled to his or her opinion just like we have given our opinion but its abit silly coming 2 a coldplay fan site forum and giving ur views becos ur never gonna win lol but ur say things without any proof for example Supposedly Satriani came to the band to try to settle the matter and Coldplay blew him off. and also how do u know its a last resort? these things that ur stating are the first i have heard of it..and also how have coldplay handled it poorly...they gave a good statement on there website and made no silly comment about being hurt or having had a dagger through there hearts...i dunno about any one else but i think thats poor. (i wrote this on a different thread becos i thought thread had been merged but im guessing he did another 1 (i think thats a bit immature really))

Martin: 'Lawsuit came as a surprise' Chris Martin has revealed that the controversial lawsuit facing Coldplay "came as a surprise". Guitarist Joe Satriani filed a copyright lawsuit against the band which claims that "substantial original portions" of the track 'Viva La Vida' were taken from his song 'If I Could Fly'. "It came as quite a surprise as you can imagine... it wasn't the best of days to be honest with you," Martin told NME Radio. He added that the band and their lawyers are adamant that they have done nothing wrong. "We just told the truth. i think he did..if you look at the yahoo gig chris said that he was bring sued by...and then he sed a name that rhymes with Mo Batriani...and that was back in october (i think) way b4 grammys were announced

Q. Dear Oracle, thousands of people are very very dessapointed with the winners of Lost? video contest. Did you know that the winner was posted in youtube before the contest started???? Did you know that both videos have been done by professionals???? Why COLDPLAY have done a fan video competition if the winners are not fans????? we really really don't understand how the winner has been selected and think this competition has been very unfair,politically manipulated and feel very very dissapointed with the band. Lots of videos were better than the winner and were really done by a COLDPLAYER. The Oracle replies: Who says they are not fans? I have to strongly disagree. The winning films were not posted before the competition started, a professional may have filmed one but that doesn't mean he's not a HUGE Coldplay fan. I think it is grossly unfair of people to assume the winners are not fans when both indeed are. I don't know how or why people are coming to that conclusion. The competition was totally fair with no hidden agenda, politics or otherwise. Each video was viewed and judged on its merits. No other considerations were taken into account. A shortlist of 30 films was drawn up (this course of action was explained in the terms & conditions). The band all watched the final shortlisted videos and selected their winner. You are entitled to the opinion that there were better videos but we do not share that opinion even though the standard was high and there were many exceptional entries. We feel the best film won and would hope people are happy for the winner who I can assure you is absolutely thrilled to have won. I sincerely hope that the bitterness stops.
