  1. Martin: 'Brits like musical Olympics' Chris Martin has compared the Brit Awards to the Olympic Games and admitted that he enjoys the ceremony. The Coldplay singer told The Sun that he feels proud every time he wins an award and claimed that the Brits are especially good because it is uncharacteristic to celebrate one's own greatness in the UK. Martin said: "I'm really looking forward to the Brits. It's the closest thing we have to the Olympics in the music world. "Every time you win something it's like someone has attached a balloon to your arm. It gives you a little lift. "I have respect for people who don't give a s**t about awards. But I like them. I can't pretend I don't. I think they're fun." He added that he hoped somebody would get drunk and do something funny at the event. Coldplay have been nominated for four awards and could walk away with the prizes for best album, best single, best group and best live act. Digital spy (and the sun)

  5. its not only coldplay that are being accused of copying...so is gwyneth haha Rex Features A journalist has claimed that Gwyneth Paltrow copied her idea for a holistic blog after the pair discussed the idea a few years ago. Mary Kate Hearon, who established The Weekly Beet.com, said that she approached a friend of the actress asking her to get Paltrow to have a look at her site. According to New York gossip column PageSix, Hearon said: "This is pretty scandalous. People deserve to know [Paltrow's] idea isn't her own - or creative, for that matter! "A few years ago, I had e-mailed Gwyneth's best friend... when I was living in London. I asked her to email Gwyneth The Beet because I was excited for her to read it since she was one of the few celebs into alternative medicine." Hearon claimed that when the pair allegedly met, she was given a frosty reception. "The way she treated me was so scary! She was sooooooo nasty to me, it was scandalous!" she said. Paltrow's rep declined to comment, while a friend blasted the claims as "ridiculous". "She's never even heard of [Hearon]," said the source. Paltrow launched Goop.com in September to share her lifestyle ideas with others. digitalspy.com
