What Was Your Biggest Disappointment of 2010?
Oh man, u miss almost 3/4 of the greatest music that ever produced in this world. Please listen to Dark Side Of The Moon again... if u got the vinyl it would be much more great man. You'll not regret this... once u listen u'll forget the beatles (ops if im too much) but that's how i felt before until now. Rubber soul is still my favourite choice for Psychedelic albums maybe in top 10! but the best psychedelic album ever i would choose The piper at the gates of dawn. u cant just stand when they hit astronomy domine and interstellar overdrive.. huh.. great album!

Oh Mgmt second album definitely Psychedelic surf but I believe that Broken Bells is more on Alternative & Indie Rock same goes with The BEsnard Lakes. Warpaint is a female version of Echo & The Bunnymen, hahaha. some of their song is a bit psychedelic.. more "dark" for me.. Peter Gabriel is a great musician, ive always dream that he will do a side project with david gilmour!!!!

I did listen to the band 6 months ago, Hot body Rub reminds me of 70's Bowie, they also did a song similar to Sade's Hang on to your Love. I think song title is Round and round. but they're still plastic. hopefully the next album will be much more good than this.

tame impala? they are psychedelic and for me there pretty much re-call late period of Beatles. yeah u can say a bit pink floyd but no progressive at all.. im discussing the farfisa and hammond here, u were down straight to stratocaster and precision. My goodness.. Black Keys is american blues rock..... Vintage sounding rock doesnt mean u can just raw up into music just like that. what im saying is the materials that they brought. It is so important to have a good materials, 2010 albums is lack of good materials, technically the vibes is not there. why usually the first album is always the best from others? Tokyo police club = The strokes + Oasis + The Beatles.

What Was Your Biggest Disappointment of 2010?
yeah maybe this year was awesome for you but not for me.. this year i think i've listened to the greenhornes, arcade fire, mgmt most likely the same as you i think... but... still not that great. Totally disappointed with the new bands, they're not really impress me. I'd rather listen to A Saucerful of Secrets time to time rather than this year top 10 albums. Rock/Indie has become so electronic and "pop"ish. I'd like to see more space rock, vintage stuff, more progressive and psychedelic like Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Jethro Tull, Genesis, Procol Harum, Bowie and more. I miss the old stuff where we can't find right now. Brian Eno did a good job maintaining his ambient stuff, Radiohead too.. U2 exceptionally the best stadium rock band, Coldplay is chasing them, Killers is resting while Mr Flowers solo album not really went well, hm... i was hoping Blur to come out for a new album this year but unfortunately... a lot to mention here.... but this year i've finally saw legendary Echo & the Bunnymen, The Flaming Lips and Simply red. they were great!!!

2010 not really produced awesome or great albums. I was hoping from MGMT but it went good only for me, The Arcade Fire also did a good album but still not enough to compare from last 2 albums. Vampire weekend? I dont really fancy this band honestly... Hm... Manic street Preachers' Postcard From A Young Man is a sequel to Journal for Plague Lovers which is really good but not great enough. Beach House third album's Teen Dreams sounds good but sometime can be quite boring. I dont know else because i believe a good album should a good vibes especially the first 30seconds on the first track of the album. hahahahaha! I still hooked with last-last years albums such as Mando Diao - Give Me Fire, The Decemberists - The Harzard Of Love, No line in the Horizon - U2, COldplay - Viva La vida, Midlake - The courage of others, Camera Obscura - the maudlin career, David byrne - everything that happens will happen today, the killers - day & age, portishead - third and why not last 38 years albums Dark Side Of The Moon, and more but sadly not this year yet, probably Arcade fire - The Suburbs.

Darkest Songs
Yeah Journal For Plague Lovers - Manic Street Preachers is a damn dark album. Sigur Ros too.... I was imagined David Bowie - Space Oddity (Space rock + Psychedelic = Dark) Midlake has a lot depressions in their songs because they are mainly influenced by Jethro Tull and Radiohead.
-
Darkest Songs
how bout the jonas brothers???? hahahaha!!!
-
Darkest Songs
yep Jethro Tull and Bjork are quite dark.. I reckon Portishead also.. must not forget Genesis. I think each band got their dark vibes. when i listen to Travis - The Man Who, i could feel the dark side of the album at the beginning on As You Are... now im listen to Exit music - Radiohead. ha... this is dark!!!
-
Darkest Songs
dark music.. mainly PINK FLOYD did a very good dark vibes.. example of their songs - sourceful of secrets - come in number 51, your time is up - careful with that axe, eugene - one of these days - set of controls for the heart of the sun - echoes Echo and the Bunnymen did a good dark album on Crocodiles. Radiohead on These are my twisted words & paranoid android.. not to forget The Raveonettes, the got the dark vibes in certain songs on each albums. there are a lot to mention..
