Sorry bout the double post, camofire is right that the press take things so far. We saw that the other day when we read that Coldplay quit, yet the quote was out of context, so don't believe the press totally, i think there is sometimes a lot of bias, one way or another.

Come on everyone, have faith in Coldplay they have released 3 hit Albums, this one will be even better, we haven't heard anything from it yet. Remember Chris said that their would be one song that if we didn't hear before they die then they would be really depressed/disappointed. So we got to hang in there and wait for its release!

hmm...good point Fixed, I guess I didn't think of it that way. But go on youtube then type in 'fix you cd:uk' and play the video clip with the original fix you playing in windows media player. This will show you how similar the two are. Maybe Will does play the drums part real, but on the 'fix you cd:uk' how can Jonny get that total acoustic sound with his guitar?

heres my opinion: Square One: The Snare intro with the clicking is computer Controlled Talk: The Whirring noise is computer Controlled X&Y: has a short play back of the violin ending as you hear in the recorded/studio version Speed of Sound: it does not having a "back track" Guy plays his mini morg Chris also plays his piano. Live 2003 has been re-edited and the "back-track" you can hear would have been put in during editing. Yellow's acoustic guitar was played by Jonny's guitar technician, but Chris played it on The Twisted Logic Tour, which is alot better. The Vocals are never "back-tracked" which is good. The Only Time i have seen a Coldplay "Instrumental back-track" was on CD:UK and TopOfThePops with the Songs: Speed of Sound, A message and Fix You, the Acoustic sound in A message could also be created by a "full acoustic pedal" for Jonny's Guitar. Another Performance with a "back-track" is ROVE LIVE Coldplay God put a Smile upon your face. I think the back track could be the producer's request or a re-edit

hmm i know the cd:uk and the TOTP verson are mostly back tracked. Yet The Toronto and Live 8 Versions aren't. You can tell because just look at the hand movement on his piano, he can get that sound because of a pedal or something. I think why TOTP and cd:uk ones have a back track is most probably because the producer of the show wanted it that way. On ROVE Live in 2003 they performed God Put A Smile Upon Your Face, I think there too they had a back track for the instruments. The Instruments are back tracked, not the vocals.

The song '1.36' was a b-side to 'The Scientist' right? it sounds a lot different to any other song Coldplay has recorded. Does anyone know when it was recorded?

Hey everyone, This is one for you guitarists out there. I saw a sale of guitars in a catalog this weekend. I have never really played a guitar before, so i am a beginner. I saw one in the catalog, on sale, for $149, it includes: an electric guitar, amp and a DVD that teaches you. Should I go out and buy this one, or should i start out with an acoustic guitar. After reading the article: http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=267689 I was quite shocked and angered by what i read. I think it is extremely disrespectful to those who suffered loses from the Virginia Tech shooting. I don't think anyone should be making jokes or comical computer games about a mass murder that happened in the U.S. So what do you think about this? I think some people should be a bit more respectful
