  1. Start with only 1 song, don't wan't to learn 10 songs at once. Decide what you want to play: fingers, pick or thumb. Some important things for playing with the fingers: - Play with two fingers and put your thumb on the pickup, don't push on your thumb but only put it there. - Never ever, NEVER rest your right arm on the body, try to make your wrist as straight as possible. BAD: GOOD: The only thing that will touch the bass from the right arm are: Thumb and playing fingers. Keep your playing fingers as straight as possible, and don't play with the nails, only flesh(it depends on the sound you like tho.) Left hand: Play in the scale, so every finger gets it's own fret, don't lay your finger over more strings, play with the finger tops only. The harder part: Keep the notes short and mute the bass when the snare plays. Also for this hand, try to keep the wrist straight. IMPORTANT: If you don't keep your wrist straight, you will get serious problems with it, and it can take years untill it solves, be carefull.
  2. Hey Kelsie!! :nice: Congratz with the 27000+ posts! :awesome:
  3. If you want I can give you some tips, basics you need to know and stuff. If you learn it yourself right how it supposed to be, you have to be very lucky, because bass playing aint just only hitting the bass notes at all. To be honest it's even harder than playing guitar IMO (alot of years experience)
  4. STOP.. first try to find out with ear and without any other resources.. And with the things that you realy can't find out, check that part on the video. This will train your ears! :)
  5. Congratz with the new amp!!!!  @princesanji: I test them local in the store and get them via musicstore.de. It depends on the guitar, my Fender Tele was bought in the local store. I'm also getting an USA std. Jazz bass this month or so.. also local. But things like pics, stands, bags, and alot more, some instruments came from Germany! :D
  6. In My Place, Clocks, Fix You. Quit playing God Put a Smile Upon Your Face, Sparks and Everything's Not Lost. These are not easy at all! I can learn you some bass playing, if you want.
