One of my favorite religious parables is the mustard seed. Because mustard seeds are really, really small, but they grow into trees. They had to do a bunch of tests to confirm it, and while waiting for the test results she carried around a mustard seed.

The Good Samaritan would be a good example of a parable.

Forcing anyone to do anything in a religion is just FAIL. You can't ever expect anyone to come back to church as an adult when you force them to do things as a child. That's why my dad isn't what you would call "religious". Anyways I hope you realize not all Christians are like that...
